  1. For Pokemon I would love to see set lists for the first 151 pokemon.

My favorite of course tho is Snorlax, so maybe him next 😉 haha

Even if it starts out as just the first few years that have cards for that pokemon, say all Snorlaxs from 1998-2006 and then slowly the newer sets with a snorlax card get added later on that would be cool. Some pokemon only appear in the TCG a few times too, like Kadabra, so a set for them could be easier for example.

I would also love that these sets combined languages too, as not every langauge gets every artwork (japanese exclusive promos etc) but people still like to collect at least one of every unique artwork for a pokemon.

And lastly I would like to see Japanese Pokemon sets added as well. Feels sad right now that all of my Japanese cards have no sets.

    Here is what happened.

@CGC Mike more or less saved the day. But there were still complications.

I think I mentioned in my previous post that 3 of the 7 I submitted for re-grade were assigned lower grades. Well, after I alerted Mike, he somehow pulled the order back from the shipping department (because they had already packaged it and were prepared to ship it) and had two of the three cards corrected to the original grade. This was a big relief.

However, one of the three cards had been damaged during the re-grading process. It was a Houndoom 071 from The Town on No Map, 1st edition holo. It had originally been a 9.5. When it was re-graded, the grader damaged the surface, and the new overall assigned grade was an 8. This really bummed me out, but Mike said someone from Customer Service would be contacting me.

A few days later, I was contacted by Customer Service, and was offered a refund for the declared value I had given for the Houndoom, as well as a refund for the grading fee for the card, since it had been damaged during the grading process.

It was disappointing but I won't complain. I feel like overall it was handled well, but only because I caught it before it was shipped back to me, and because Mike was so willing to help me out. Like I said if it hadn't been for Mike, this order would have been a complete cluster.

I am going to give CGC more business for sure just because I feel like it was handled professionally when it was all said and done.

Thanks for the detailed response! Really sorry to hear about the Houndoom 😓

I will be sending in 2 cards so hopefully they won't get damaged in the process 🙏 And I will have a dm to Mike at the ready 😅

    Hello @CGC Mike

I just submitted 7 cards that were already graded by CGC and in CGC slabs. 3 of the 7 were graded lower than they had been previously. I submitted these cards for regrade under the assumption that the overall grade should not come down since it was said in your post above that the grade should not come down. Was this an error on the grader's part?

The only reason I submitted these cards was to update the labels, since the labels in these 7 slabs were the old blue labels. I wanted the newer white/blue labels, but like I said I submitted under the assumption that the grades would hold.

Can I take this to Customer Service?

    Thanks,
    Brad

Did this get resolved? I am planning on doing the same thing but am worried 😟

Promos, Black & White, and e-Series have been added.

Hopefully they can get them all up so they can switch some of the attention to MTG!  lol

Im still waiting for sets for the original 151 pokemon tho D:

Last I checked they randomly had like 15ish?

Last update said the new holders would be going live end of May. Anyone seen any status updates on their paused submissions yet?

I just happened to submit a bulk order with my metal cards included the week before the pause was announced (recieved 2/24). Hoping next month I might finally get my submission finished and sent back :/

Welp, almost a month since I made this post and it seems as uncertain as ever. Today I am requesting my cards returned with my metal cards ungraded :/

Pokémon EX sets are up now and you'll see some Diamond & Pearl going live next week!

Any idea when we will get more sets for individual pokemon?

Some already exist partially for example Charizard and Raichu. Would it be possible for the other original 151 to come soon?

  7. Pretty sure when you submit you select how you would like your cards shipped back to you and agree to the price (which is typically higher due to the level of insurance needed to cover your cards declared values).

I have no experience shipping to them from outside the US tho. Hope I could help a lil!

Made me feel sick when I saw the announcement..

Like really? PWCC?? After what all they've done? I would NEVER send my cards to PWCC. Now that PWCC has a position in CGC, I am definitely thinking twice about my next submission to CGC. *sigh*

If I have to pay the premium and wait a 1yr+, so be it. Good thing I haven't sent my higher end cards to CGC yet.

PWCC sells more PSA and BGS graded cards on their platform than any other type of graded card. I don't get the point you are trying to make?

You don't have to send your cards to PWCC and can still grade your cards with CGC. They are still fully separate companies

Thanks for your comments and interest in the registry,

Creating and scoring sets is very time consuming. Our registry admin consulted with our Trading Card experts to come up with a list of sets that we would have at launch. This was never meant to be an exhaustive list. We knew that if we waited to add all set types, we would never get it off the ground. The plan was to continue to build sets after launch based on our list and based on requests. All of the set types mentioned here are already on our list of sets to add.

We would have planned more for launch if we anticipated the immediate level of interest. The positive response has been overwhelming and we already have a couple hundred set type requests. We are already working on new set types and we are adding another registry team member so we can get new set types up more quickly. We can't wait to see how this grows over time!

    Sounds great Dena! 😁

Also would like to know this. It seems weird to have in-print sets available in the registry but not have registry support for literally any of the sets released between 2003-2013 (which, notably, includes e-Series and the entire EX series -- two of the most collectible, popular eras). There's also no registry option for many of the most popular types of cards to collect (i.e., shinings, gold stars, exs).

The MTG creature type registry options are also bizarre. You have registry options for tribes like efreets, atogs, dauthi, riggers, and scorpions, but don't have registry support for angels, demons, dragons, goblins, elves, etc. Just bizarre.

(Note: I'm not complaining -- I like the registry. It's just lacking some of the most basic, common-sense inclusions.)

Oh wow yeah that is Bizarre!

I didn't epexct them to have a set for all 800+ pokemon day 1 of registries but all original 151 would've been nice 😅 Like they have Charizard and such day one lol Put some respect on my boy Snorlax!

    Not at this time.  Sorry.

    Any update now Mike?

I know probably not but still wanted to keep this post near the top.

I submitted a bulk order 2/24 before the announcement about metal cards and have been at "grading/encapsulation" since mid march. Will it just stay that way until the new holders are announced?
