  1. Check the Hulk thread! (guess who found the cord to his camera)
  2. You see correctly. The green Hulk #1 cover is a wall poster. I posted a shot of my comic room in that thread in General, if you want to see it.
  3. Can I play? Love this little run... I'm happy with readers, but not so happy with my lack of a scanner (sorry).
  4. Not just resto; xerox replacement cover! (I'm a cheap, cheap man) The interior is complete and not really bad.
  5. FF #78 p. 13 and #98 p. 10. They're my OA grails so... NFS! The others are Eternals #11 p. 11 and Cap. Victory #9 p. 11. they're just fun. Thanks for the kind words, tho.
  6. While nowhere near the level we've seen here, I'm still happy with my little corner. I've wanted a comic room for decades!
  7. I can't believe how expensive those little pages have gotten.
  8. I feel you, Torchie. about 20 years ago I decided to trade all my GA comics (both of them) for Silver. I handed them to a dealer at the KC con who asked "Why don't you keep these?" I forget what I got, but I sure remember the Superman #6 and All-Winners #7 I gave up.
  9. I flat out love George Tuska's art and I don't care who knows it. Great aquisition!
  10. Beat me to it. FF annual #5 is the Surfer's first solo story. I strongly recommend getting one!
  11. That's a nicer copy than the first FF #1 I owned! There's such a sincerity to a well-loved Marvel like that...
  12. So very true, Torch. In an unrelated vein, this message board has inspired me. I have sent my Fantastic Four #92 in to CGC to be graded. It's about as nice as I have and I'm realistically hoping for a 9.0. We'll see...
  13. I am of the opinion that every comics fan should read the entire Lee/Kirby run of Fantastic Four , but I might be biased...
  14. They fight. The Hulk belts Benjy right in the kisser. However, the entire F.F. fights the Hulk in this issue. In # 25, we get the first solo Thing/Hulk fracas. As to F.F. #12 being a first cross-over, it's tied with Amazing Spider-Man #1 (the F.F. had a very social month, apparently). Not to mention Marvel Mystery Comics #8, which features the very first hero v. hero cross-over ever.
  15. I've bought a lot of comics from Jamie and I'm happy with every one!
  16. Bottom feeders like me love buying those square bound World's Finests that are easy to find in low grade. I get them when I can for the S&K Boy Commandos. In fact, one of my "biggest" books is my New York World's Fair 1940, which I picked up very cheap. I bought it from Graham Crackers, and Jamie even mentioned how few buyers there were interested in it.
  17. Alex Raymond and Hal Foster were huge deals back in the early 70's. They're still respected, but not so much collected. My Four Color #10 (1st full Raymond Flash Gordon comic) was once more valued than More Fun #52, but hasn't seen a price hike since about 1970. As to All Star #3, I think this goes back to those early, Roy Thomas-type collectors who used to say you weren't a real golden age collector unless you had a full run of All Star . I haven't heard anyone say that for a while.
