KirbyJack reacted to *Bronze age fan* in BAF countdown to 22 years of Marvel Comics!!!
Yeah very thought to try and assemble entire series. I went back with Millie the Model, Patsy Walker, Patsy and Hedy, Two Gun Kid, Kid Colt, Rawhide Kid, Our Own Romance, Love Romance, Battle, Gunsmoke Western, ST and JIM. Close on a lot of the series but certain issues turning up are hard on some. But great fun working on that and the Copper stuff.

Incredible.
I was always reluctant to dive into the Atlas stuff when I was hunting Strange Tales and Journey Into Mystery because they’d be too tough to find. By Atlas standards, those are relatively easy compared to the other genres!

Unsubstantially rumored to be created for a never-to-be-published Amazing Fantasy 16, could this be the second Spider-Man story ever?

And my JLA #4...was graded CGC 9.0. This was a tough book for me to get in nice shape!

I have a few books I can post here, but I'll start with this big boy that I purchased at the end of last year...first time I've owned a JLA #1!

Here are scans of my twelve favourite covers from the Justice League comics that I have in my collection:
Northland copy
There are so many fabulous Justice League covers that I could easily do another ten.

My very first comic. It was coverless and I couldn't read but I soon had it memorized. It had a missing centerfold that greatly effected the story but I still cherished it.

Here's my own Justice League of America 1 which had visible colour touch on the lower right when I bought it more than twenty years ago:
The defect grew to bother me so much over the years that about nine years ago I sent it to Susan Cicconi at the Restoration Lab to see what could be done. Well she returned it free of charge saying nothing could be done about the existence of the colour touch but it was no longer visible! Now I'm content with my copy.

KirbyJack reacted to Hepcat in Giants! If you've got big ones, show 'em off here!
Oh I still need quite a few DCs! Some such as most issues of the Flash from #106 to #115, pre-1963 Wonder Woman and pre-1966 Fox and the Crow are just really tough to find. Others such as Showcase #4, 8 and 22 and Brave and the Bold 28 I doubt I'll ever be able to afford in condition comparable to my other comics. Finally because of collecting priorities I only started pecking away at Batman and Superman titles and the Giants circa 2000 so I still need many of those. And of course as my collection has advanced, I've become pickier about condition. Meanwhile I'm retired now so my disposable income is way down so often I just can't buy anything. But I still derive satisfaction and delight each and every day from the treasures I've accumulated over the last 45+ years!
