  1. Unless the listing says something about a special "red CGC case" then I don't see this as deceiving. They just took a picture of their slab on a red table or something. I take pictures of mine on a granite table but that doesn't mean I'm trying to pass my books off as having a special Granite CGC Case. Does that make sense?
  2. I didn't know about this one, but it pisses me off just as much. I've seen others compare this C2E2 issue to the Wizard First controversy years ago, but at least CGC gave those books a new label separating them from the normal/traditional blue label. These books make it feel like CGC is trying to dupe us.
  3. Sorry I mistyped the grading notes! It said "very light stress lines to spine" not cover.
  4. HI all! I don't want to be the guy who cracks, presses, and regrades every book I buy, but I was seriously wondering about how this book graded so low. Please let me know what you think. I focused on getting photos of the spine due to the grader's notes. Graders notes were: very light creasing to cover, very light stress lines to cover Let me know if revealing the current grade would help. Thanks!
  5. Good to know. Thanks! Do you know if I need to note anything on the submission form or do I just submit it for grading and pressing like any other book?
  6. I recently got a signed Ultimate Fallout #4 that I don't think has ever been pressed because it has that polybag crease along the back cover. I was hoping to resubmit to CGC after getting pressed but it sounds like CCS is the only one allowed to do that? I'm fine going with CCS if that's the only option, but they have massive TATs right now and I've seen some... mixed results from them.
  7. Thanks! That's actually a bit better than I thought. Colors look great on and in this book so it's really a shame about the left side of the front cover :/
  8. Yeah this is how I feel. Sinister is one of my favorite villains but I got this book at a steal. I trust my presser as it’s my LCS owner. We’ll see what happens!
  9. Yeah I figured. It was worth a shot. Carol Danvers is my favorite character so I didn't want to let a chance to get an undergraded copy of her first appearance slip by me. Thanks for taking a look though!
  10. Yeah arbitrary was bad word choice. But I've always felt like giving tons of photos meant more than a grade that may be inaccurate.
  11. This forum has made me painfully aware that I am horrible at grading comics. So honest question here: would it be better for me to put a grade on a book I'm selling knowing fully well that it may be wrong? Some books I think are F/VF end up being VG. If so, I will go edit some of my ebay listings.
  12. I'm new to this but I agree with you 100%. I'm not a professional grader so why would I pretend to be? I could just go around calling everything VF or NM and call it a day. I feel like that is where you get into trouble, not the other way around. Say I'm selling a book and calling it a 6.0 and after the buyer gets it and CGCs it comes back as a 5.0. Do they get their money back because I put down an inaccurate grade? Especially in this situation where the defect was literally on the listing photos I feel like the buyer doesn't have a leg to stand on. They saw the defect and chose to purchase it knowing exactly what the book looked like.
  13. Just picked this one up today! Main thing I noticed was the ding in the bottom left hand corner. What do y’all think? And would a press help at all? Thanks!
