I have zero idea what Wordpress is so I'd have to vote for Facebook by default unless you did a Google Spreadsheet and give participants limited access to view only.
Same here.

I went ahead and picked up a HP 8300 off of eBay. For less than $80 shipped I figured why not. I can't wait for it to get here so I can finally take some scans of my slabs.

From the 75cent font they are direct market 2nd printings. Can't remember but thinner 75cent is direct and the thicker 75cent was the ones that came in the bag packed ones. I could be mistaken on that but from what I can remember.
Thanks! Thats more than I was able to dig up on them, but I didn't look very hard
.
Really I just got them to read some of the stories.

No kidding! Amazing books!
-
Yep, but I can't find much info on them.
-
Very nice! I need that issue for my Blue Ribbon run.
Those later issues are real tough.
I know. I haven't been able to add to my Blue Ribbon run in some time.
-
I had the same thought. I'm not sure it would be worth it to press and slab though. The interior pages are nice on it.

I haven't bought any G.I. Joe books in almost 30 years, but I found these at an antique fair this morning and picked them up as I know I had a few holes in my run.

I finally got photobucket to upload this pic of the Laugh.

His name was Mark. I believe that his board name is Brenmark. It was nice to meet someone local who also collects golden age books. Not that many of us here in the Fresno area that I have been able to find.

It's funny. I stopped collecting Top Notch when it became Laugh as the teen humor didn't appeal to me as much and I though it was a good stopping point for the series. But I found an issue of Laugh 50 in nice shape today at a local antique fair and thought it needed a good home so I bought it. I really don't need another collecting focus

I went to a local antique fair on a whim this morning after breakfast and found two individuals selling comics. Had a nice conversation with one gentleman and learned he is also a board member. It is a small world I guess.
I haven't picked up any books in some time, but this is what I managed to find this morning.

Wow! Nice books, but I especially like this one!
-
Well this isn't anything near as nice as the 4 books I just quoted as far as condition is concerned that's for sure..Incomplete and beat...but its hard to argue whether or not sweet Lou hit a homer with this cover or not!! I say yes...yes he did. Picked up this raggedy well loved beauty for a song and it was awaiting my arrival when we got home from the lake this afternoon!! No complaints with this day over in northeast O-H-I-O!!...
I never noticed this before, but the skeleton has fleshy hands. It just strikes me as a bit odd. Great cover that you don't see very often!

Nothing here, but a big congrats to you( and I'm sure you'll post them when in hand?).Not me, Tony. I did see it and thought it was a nice looking copy... I hope someone here got it.More recently, anyone get anything during last night's Pep extravaganza?
Some pretty impressive prices ... not only on the higher grade sought after books, but even on some of the really low grade stuff.
I was shooting for 6 of them. Got blown out of the water on a few. Missed one by just a little (though impossible to know what the actual high bid was), and got one copy that I probably overpaid for, but pleased to fill the hole (and certainly wound up spending a lot less money than the multiples thousands I was prepared to drop just hours earlier).
I will say in the Pep 23-50 range, I was excited by many of the prices he got on those raw and varying grade books. I have all but 3 of them and it's was great to see what they brought.
Great prices all around. Almost an HA sig auction evening edition. Gotta wonder though: as amazing as those prices were do you think the seller left any sizable amount of money on the table by not having them stabbed and on a venue like HA?
I was looking at a few of the lower grade Peps but decided to hold off at the last minute. I have to replace my reloading press and decided to go all out and get a Dillon XL650 with all the goodies so no comics for me right now.
-
I would pick neither as well and wait for a better looking low graded copy. Although, I would crack out the 1.5 and really see how brittle the pages are. Maybe it ain't too bad?
I would be more inclined to check it if was slightly brittle as opposed to brittle.
-
This would be the scanner to get!!
I wonder how well that would work?
-
The 1.8. No contest, I hate brittle pages.

I'm looking to buy an all in one printer/scanner that will scan a CGC slab and work with my macbook.
I would prefer to buy something new/current as opposed to something used.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

What kind of computer/software are you using? My 8300 is supposed to arrive tomorrow.
