I think I saw him helping out at Dale's booth at NYCC last October, so I guess he is still around but no longer posting.

 

Yeah, Doc's still around and still collecting. He's running his cabin rental business. Posting some on other sites, competition and Myslabbedcomics, plus talking to some people by PM. He just got tired of much of the BS here and I think some of the angst that this place can cause. He's doing really well. Probably will be with me at C2E2.

Pep 22 for me all the way. I'm an MLJ super hero guy at heart and I know I will never get a Pep 22, but its nice to dream. Archie does nothing for me however.

CSS for me. Classic cover and I have no desire at all for the WM. But I'm not much of a horror collector.

Just bought a new iMac (used a PC before) and the ol' Mustek doesn't have the update yet so...

Anyone have any suggestions on a compatible scanner for slabs with an iMac?

Yuma want to see if VueScan can make your current scanner compatible with your iMac. I use an HP8300 (with VueScan) with my iMac.

I do the same. Works fairly well.

That poor beat up Supes 1 keeps showing up. I think I'd take it, restore it and then keep it forever. It needs a good home.

I have to agree. Plus the A 40 and MF 52 are the two priciest books in the run for their respective characters making the rest of each mini run easier to complete. Not that I have the funds for either but it would suck to still need a CA 1 and Tec 27 (& 29, 35, 37 etc). I'm a run builder at heart I guess.

Black Hood is a little easier to find than Pep or Hangman and the early issues had Hangman stories.

Such great books. I'm always looking to upgrade my Black Hood run.

I added a few more covers to my Blue Ribbon group. Thanks Tom for making such nice covers. About half of these aren't real but the interior is the correct Blue Ribbon comic. Thanks to Howard Keltner for getting me interested in MLJ fifty years ago.

I never even knew this existed! Can you show us what it looks like set up?

How do you all take scans of magazine sized slabs? Even with my massive legal sized HP 8300 I can't get the whole slab on the scanner bed.

I plan on listing about two dozen books starting later tonight. Golden age to bronze age. Both raw and CGC.

Footage is really poor but looks like Negan is doing his famous move straight out of issue 100.

Is it just me or are MLJ super hero books getting harder to find than they were just a few years ago? The more common venues appear to be rather low on offerings.

A quick group shot of a collection I am slowly beginning to process..... I was happy with a low grade Superman # 24......I was stunned to find an incomplete Superman # 1 hiding inside it. Its missing the first 2 wraps and the centerfold.

 

Sweet score! If you need a home for that Pep...
