I just bought a raw copy a week ago and sent it off to CGC today. Fingers crossed on this one. Gunslinger has really become my favorite character in the Spawn universe. His book is being written so much differently than the rest of the Spawn books. I have been hearing that a She Spawn book might be next and it worries me about too many Spawn books.

I have noticed this kind of thing too with Spawn. While the earlier part of the run has some really high print numbers, these books are still in demand. Then when you look at the lower print run issues that start around #115 or so, and then the print runs get lower and lower the higher the numbers. I think I saw where some books even only had a 12,000 print run. We've read and seen interviews where Todd McFarlane hopes and wants to see his creation out live him. Hopefully it does as I think there is a lot that could be done with the character and universe in general. Let's say years down the road after McFarlane they can pull off some kind of TV or movies, many of these books will be the ones that pop. Look at the first appearance of Gunslinger Spawn and what it is worth.

Hi @CGC Mike, it appears that the submission tracking has been acting wonky the last 2 days where none of our submissions loads up. Is there maintenance that is occurring or has this issue not been reported yet?

That is how I have felt with Gunslinger Spawn. Right now out of all the Spawn books, including Scorched, Gunslinger has been the best and most refreshing Spawn title. They are doing something new with GS when compared to the other titles. The last 2 years the only reason I have been collecting Spawn and even King Spawn has been due to the covers and art work. If you were to try and collect some Spawn, I highly suggest checking it out GS.

I think it’s the angle of the picture and how I took it. This book has no blunted corners, all of the corners a very sharp. That binary tear is very very small. I’ll try to take another picture of the book later when I’m home today. If this had a blunted corner I would not of even bothered picking the book up for the prices that these raw books are going for plus the condition this was in.

Are you referring to the lower hand corner where there is that binary tear?

Can someone please share what they think this might grade at? I am guessing between 9.6-9.8. The back of the book scared me at first when I saw it thinking that the text was smeared and and had this weird yellowing, but when I looked at other ones online they looked the same. Thanks

I started toying around with CLZ this evening and so much love the ability to be able to scan a barcode. It makes such a huge difference from using Comicspriceguide which is quite clunky and even worse when you are at a LCS trying to bring up your collection and it takes forever. I have a few questions that not sure anyone can help with. If I have my collection in comicspriceguide, does CLZ have the ability to take an export of my collection from comicspriceguide and then import it right into CLZ? For those that are using CLZ and Coverprice, do you have to manually add books to coverprice from CLZ to also add them into their collection? Is there a way when I add them to CLZ that it also adds them to Coverprice?

Is it CLZ that allows you to scan in the barcodes off of the books? When you add your books to CLZ, if you have a coverprice subscription does it integrate your inventory?

What is everyone using to track their raw and slabbed books? We have Comicspriceguide, Covrprice, CLZ, GoCollect, and good old school excel. I have been using comicspriceguide, but do find their website and even app to be slow and clunky. I have been toying around with Covrprice the past week.

Agreed. It is quite awesome to finally see these DC books gain some traction and for now it appears like Gunn and co. are also focusing on newer characters then the older tired and true DC characters. It will be interesting for those that are speculating as now we are at a point where you can expect any character to be pulled into the DCU. I have a feeling that we will see Batman Beyond in one form or another. Especially considering how popular the Beyond the White Knight series has also been. I wonder if they will still do something with Val-Zod since Michael B. Jordan was tied to this project for a long time.

Thanks! I am glad that I did get all of these within the last 2 years and several copies of each. At least I was able to get 9.8's on 655 and 656. I still need to send in 657, and stinks that my 666 came back as a 9.6. Glad that they are trying something different with an edgy Robin vs. keep going to the well with MR.. They should just introduce him as Nightwing in the movies, there is so much potential with his popularity.

I find this quite confusing with which book has the most value for Damian's first cameo/full appearance. Wasn't 655 for the longest time considered the book to own for Damien and now it seems like 656 which had less value is the one to own. I don't care since I own 655-657 and 666.....but just crazy.

Agreed that the story is very original. My only concern, thought I guess at the end of the day it would not matter is that there are only going to be 8 books right? I guess with only that amount of books, they will have to create a lot of their own material that isn't in any of these books to fill in the story. It all depends too if they make it past season 1. Which show has Amazon done themselves? Has Soule had any shows make it to the screen yet?

Cheese, do you think that 8 Billion Genies will become something big? I was going back and forth on holding on to mine or just keep selling these.
