The LCS I go to offers most variants at cover plus $1 or $2 bucks, so they aren't bad when they then add my loyal customer discount. That's not on the 1:100+ stuff though.
If there's a variant that's really expensive, I'll wait 6-8 months later and then get it when prices have plummeted.

Anyone else see the write-up on Chew in the New York Times? Wonder if press like that has something to do with the prices on Chew books rising? Either way, very glad to see both Layman and Guillory get the good press on a GREAT book!

I just wanted to throw a big thank you out to all of the witnesses who I have had the great pleasure of working with to obtain sigs or members that have sold me SS books.

Now, without further ado... thank you a ton to JonJesper for this very sweet New Mutants 98 9.8 signed and sketched by Rob Liefield.

I would very much agree with Boozad. Pick up the trade first to see if you really like it (chances are it will pique your interest
). The first TPB is only 9.99 too.

Huge kudos go out to loboagain for a couple of Deadpool books.
I know there has been some discussion lately on sellers not packaging raw books well. Let me tell you, this is not the case with Francisco. He packaged the comics in a small comic sized box and then padded that box inside of a priority flat rate box. Thank goodness he did bc usps decided the box (even though it had a HUGE fragile sticker on it) needed to be crushed. Thankfully, due to Francisco's bomb proof internal packaging the comics made it in pristine condition even if the outer box didn't... Thank you

By the way the always reliable wikipedia is saying that a Deadworld movie is being made.
IMDB has it in development for a 2011 release

Just sent payment to Rob for this page from #6. It'll look nice framed in my hallway, which is slowly becoming the "Hallway of Chew."
Great page! Love all of the little sticky note easter eggs in the top panel. Make sure to post a copy of the OA

I put this in a PM yesterday, and since I have pugs I think it's really funny.

Or perhaps one of the kids in the "new community" reads/collects comics, that is the only way I can see Spawn ever brought up in the series
See, I'd be ok if that was the case. Some comics in a background shot or something. NOT the actual character...
again
Almost there just need a / in the last tag before the word spoiler

what was best of all, as we went upsatairs to put the kids to bed, my son Thomas looked at me, thinking hard and responded with; "I think that was my best day ever".
