  1. Sorry for the slightly blurry images, in looking at some historical auctions on HA, don't see this one come up often either.
  2. Nice to see the 2008 thread lives on the first page! I was recently looking at the HA auctions coming up. I'm sure these Bakers will fetch a premium as they deserve. I kind of weep a little to think of all the ones I let go at fractions of the prices. But, glad I have the ones I do. I have All Picture All True 1 8.5 but never was able to get the 2. Probably never will unless it's at a local garage sale.
  3. Rare to find white pages. Great copies
  4. Back in 2009, I went to an estate auction and these were in a box. I still have some but most have moved on. My best Baker find ever in one location. What's your best Baker find?
  5. Honeymoon Romances and Confessions of Love are difficult to find.
  6. I think this issue is one of the more uncommon ones. Does anyone have a high grade of TR12?
  7. Had this one slabbed at a later point, from the archives...
  8. Wow, this book is going for a lot now. NFS.. not high grade but presents nicely.
  9. Okay here is my theory on the ALATS, Baker wanted to kind of incorporate the idea of "The Kiss" by Klimt. But, his version didn't include the hands of the bride more like the way of the artwork (hands are within scope of cloth). The hands were added later by a different artist as they are not Baker style. If you look closely, maybe you agree? My theory.
  10. It would be interesting to put each -script line to the final product and see how it all ended up.
  11. I saw this on eBay and this is the first time I have seen a -script. So neat! I would have paid $15 for it, if I had seen it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/TOO-PLAIN-FOR-LOVE-ORIGINAL-COMIC-BOOK--script-PAYMENT-RECEIPT-COMIC-MEDIA-/192536859819?hash=item2cd41754ab%3Ag%3AgzEAAOSwsxJa05WH&nma=true&si=h0chaPk%2BYev7NGiuCiy328liB8k%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#viTabs_0
  12. Oh great! Thank you for finding this and adding it to the thread. I'm sure there are more connections we haven't made yet. I'm thinking they had to change up the cover as the original version wouldn't have passed Comic Code.
  13. I think maybe what happened is that Baker did a storyline for them and they just used two of the panels for covers.
  14. I don't have a Sweetheart Diary 38. But, this was cover was a swipe from a Baker story. I just don't remember which one! I should have kept notes.
  15. I think Love Secrets 40 and Brides Romances 7 were a story line that was used for cover material.
  16. Here is mine of this issue...
  17. I always wanted to upgrade this TLP5 but never was able to. Anyone have a high grade on this?
  18. Here's a TT3. Love the colors on this one. This is a great cover because it also captures the time period.
  19. I've had two of these books both bought without the "Marilyn" factor. Wish I would have kept the other one awhile longer. I sold my lower grade one for a couple of hundred and thought that was a great deal at the time. Low grade copy I used to have.
  20. I wasn't following the auctions. Any other Baker books in the mix?
