  1. @Sauce Dog could you re-share the survey link? I’ll provide the info. Also, I have the receipts from my payment with time stamps; is there a way to share that with you?
  2. @Sauce Dog I have my books, thank God, but I can add my damages to the total claim; if that would help.
  3. @MattTheDuck You guys doing something? What about folks who got their books back but received no work for their cost?
  4. Thanks @seanfingh! That was what I figured but didn’t know if there was anything further on the legal side regarding this matter. At least I got my books back! Better than many can say at this time 😕.
  5. What is the time frame for requesting reimbursement from my credit card company due to any fraudulent activities by Mike?
  6. I really want that sweet Momoko label for the slab, but I just got some books back from the last Momoko event; so I’m trying to figure out if I can get them reholdered during this event. Problem is….those Momoko labels are just for this signing event….
  7. I should have followed up like you did @Drake Dragoon; thanks for the details! My books followed a similar timeline, but I shipped mine out around June 20th and got them back July 28th.
  8. Thanks for the updates for any potential future searches. It seems like we’re in the hot season right now folks!
  9. Just got notified today: my books have been logged and are beginning to be worked on! Anyone else in the modern that sent in 3-4 weeks ago should start seeing books moving forward soon, I’d think.
  10. Anyone know if CGC tends to give better grades out to larger companies that do submissions like comiclink, or does it have no advantage and we’ll get about the same success when submitting by ourselves?
  11. @Ed Hanes ok cool; then I’m still on schedule! Still kind of new to this submitting books stuff, and trying to make sure I didn’t let them get lost or something. Thanks everyone!
  12. Ok; so it’s not just me! That puts me at ease! I figured there must be some convention stuff happening; always gums up the works a bit. Thanks @Lightning55 and @MAR1979
  13. Hey folks I know it takes some time for CGC to process books they’ve received, but I’ve had an order at they’re facility for over 2 weeks now. However, it still isn’t showing up in their system but USPS confirmed delivery. When should I start reaching out?
  14. @SSSnake has a good reference @Rare Treasures the summary is this: if CGC loses your book; then what is the value they’d have to reimburse you for the item you submitted. Just follow that guideline and you’ll more or less have the CGC policy nailed down. A good resource: Go to eBay and find some listings for a similar quality book of your title, and use that as reference for coming up with the value.
  15. @SSSnake oh yea; I totally forgot about mentioning restoration the first go around. ANOTHER reason why you shouldn’t post too fast or on the go!!! 🤣
  16. @SSSnake yea, but it’s not always easy to know every little thing that should have been there in such an old book. Although, it would be hard to miss a story centric page 🤣. Additionally (and primarily), you are wide open to things like cut edges or other “restorative” applications to the book.
  17. Yea; post it under “can you spare a grade”. However, I will share this: buying expensive raw copies of books is REALLY risky. You have no idea if it’s complete or not; last thing you want is to buy it at $$$ and then get a 0.5 back from CGC because something in the book was missing.
  18. @joeypost my man! Thanks. I couldn’t imagine this all being dirt, especially with what looks like roller marks like @Topnotchman said.
  19. Thanks @Topnotchman! It does look like something rolled or moved on the book surface for sure. Any ideas @Point Five @joeypost
  20. Hey folks Got another one for you all: do you think the book in the picture below has color transfer or soiling/dirt?
  21. Well then….I got another item to cross off on “CGC crazy @$$ mistakes” bingo.
  22. @lostboys so neither book had grader notes on the gouge?
