  1. I haven’t seen a miswrap this bad so I have no clue how bad it will hurt the overall grade I mean I’m not expecting a 9.6 but with the exception of that blunted corner and the bad staple job it doesn’t look *too* bad I don’t think ☹️
  2. Yeah, that’s about what I thought Maybe a touch lower than I’d have guessed, but that’s why I came here, for people who know way better than me to tell me the facts And $70 for a 9.6 is a good price for what it is, but I paid less than that for this and the other 3 issues that followed, even *with* shipping 😐 I do maybe eventually want a higher grade copy but at least rn I don’t $70 want it… yeah that cease is real bad ☹️
  3. Yeah sounds about right Even a press almost seems like a waste of money, it *might* present a little better after, but it would probably cost about as much as it was worth to get it done 😐 A 7.0/7.5 isn’t so bad, I was never planning on getting rich off it anyway, and I guess all things considered, even if it’s mid-grade , I did get it for a good price so I can be happy with that at least
  4. I was a little too quick to hit the “commit to purchase” button and didn’t give enough of a thorough look at the images of the books, because in my haste to secure some SSH books I failed to notice until I’d already committed to buy them that issue 1 had a pretty noticeable color breaking fold in the lower right corner It was never going to be a 9.8 candidate but is that going to drop it down to say an 8.0 or lower? If it’s so low that the resulting FMV would t even cover the cost of grading, I’m not sure it would make sense to do it and I guess I’d keep it raw How bad is it 😐?
  5. Definitely 😂 I mean I won’t deny I was a *little* mad at her for vandalizing my precious books but it was at least partially my own fault for keeping them in a place that was within clawing distance, but in my defense I was maybe 12 or 13 and certainly didn’t have the preservation mindset I do now 😂😂 And she was a bitty baby, not her fault she found them so shredable and yeah, I guess in a sense it is kind of keepsake or reminder of her She passed about a decade ago now, but this remains Just kind of wish she’d gone for something a little less…potentially valuable I would probably say 99.9% of my collection from back then would have been better since even now they are probably worth about as much as the cost of a Big Mac… But eh, it’s not like it was an Amazing Fantasy 15 or anything I *can* always buy a higher grade copy if I really wanted, I just never got around to it 😐 I’ve bid on a few in auctions in the last few years, but I always lose them when the price suddenly skyrockets towards the end and I just lose the will to put down that kind of money on it… Someday maybe
  6. Yeah…that sounds about right 😂 Tbh I have no recollection how I ended up with it in the first place nor how bad a condition it was prior to its…alteration In all likelihood it was never a very high grade copy to begin with 😐 I think you’re right on the money, no pun intended 😂
  7. I mean I say “PGM” but really it’s “tell me how bad it is 😐” A bit of backstory, many years ago, when my cat was a little kitten I made the mistake of leaving some comics on the floor of my room and she did what kittens do and clawed them up One of the victims was my poor PP #1 I’m guessing those slashes are *really* going to hurt the final grade but curious but just how much Eventually I’m sure I’ll get a non-kitten slashed copy, but till then this is all I’ve got Is above a 5.0 even possible like this 😐? Thanks for taking a look at it
  8. It mostly looks good from the front, but I’m feeling I might have overspent on it given the condition With all these imperfections and defect it doesn’t look like it could be anything over a 7.0, even if that cover could improve greats after a C&P Or is even 7.0 wishful thinking 😥?
  9. I am very grateful for everyone’s responses so far And I’d say you’re probably all right on the money that this is a 5.5 at best What’s a little disappointing about this fact is that it means that pressing it, never mind C&P and grading, costs more than the book would be worth I mean getting it graded at 5.5 by CGC would cost me twice what the book is worth, not including the shipping cost to and from Florida 😐 Sure I could do it just to have it as presentable as possible for my own PC, but I’d be losing money just for the privilege 😥 I accept that just how it is, but it’s just a bit disheartening to be presented with the cold reality there 😔
  10. Yeah...that’s fair Thank you for your input I know a C&P isn’t magic, but do you think it could bump it up maybe 0.5? I mean even if it didn’t, it couldn’t hurt 😐
  11. I’m just curious how bad it looks to you guys 😐 I mean as much as I wish it were like 8.0 I think it’s safe to say it’s not 😂 It’s got spine tics It’s got a corner that’s a little bent up and it’s got a spot that looks like a bit of color rub I’m guessing it’s mid-grade at best, but I want some informed opinions to kind of temper whatever expectations I might have Thanks
  12. I only just noticed that 😖 Oops 😐 Yeah, it’s supposed to say 195
  13. I am hoping the projected grade is too low with all those defects, but I of course know they are gonna hurt it a bit It seems like a generally good copy but I’m not holding my breath on it, just hoping it at least isn’t worth less than I paid for it 😐
  14. I’m going in knowing it’s probably low to mid tier, but I’m just curious what the assembled have to say about it I guess is more like “please tell me how bad it is 😢” 😂
  15. I swear I clicked on the "I can't find my comic" button maybe 10 times and it never pulled up anything, I didn't know I had to put the declared value in first Thanks
