I was a little too quick to hit the “commit to purchase” button and didn’t give enough of a thorough look at the images of the books, because in my haste to secure some SSH books I failed to notice until I’d already committed to buy them that issue 1 had a pretty noticeable color breaking fold in the lower right corner

It was never going to be a 9.8 candidate but is that going to drop it down to say an 8.0 or lower?

If it’s so low that the resulting FMV would t even cover the cost of grading, I’m not sure it would make sense to do it and I guess I’d keep it raw

How bad is it 😐?

Max 6.0. That's a long crease to go with the moderate spine creases on the back. I don't see any value in slabbing this. With 0 effort, I found a 9.6 that can be yours for <$70. It would be hard to find, ship and grade a copy for less than that and you already know the grade https://www.ebay.com/itm/314756855436

It's definitely not worth to slab, I'd say 7.0 to 7.5, maybe a 8.0 with a press.

Yeah sounds about right

Even a press almost seems like a waste of money, it *might* present a little better after, but it would probably cost about as much as it was worth to get it done 😐

A 7.0/7.5 isn’t so bad, I was never planning on getting rich off it anyway, and I guess all things considered, even if it’s mid-grade , I did get it for a good price so I can be happy with that at least

Yeah, that’s about what I thought

Maybe a touch lower than I’d have guessed, but that’s why I came here, for people who know way better than me to tell me the facts

And $70 for a 9.6 is a good price for what it is, but I paid less than that for this and the other 3 issues that followed, even *with* shipping 😐

I do maybe eventually want a higher grade copy but at least rn I don’t $70 want it…

yeah that cease is real bad ☹️
