  1. Exactly! That's what I'm talking about. Does anyone have a copy to post? I love that book! Iconic Americana.
  2. How about this Greek movie Evil (To Kako)? Its a pretty slick Zombie flick with a great outbreak scene. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0813129/ I recommend it. (thumbs u
  3. Max Brooks came to my college and gave a lecture on Zombie Survival. It was awesome, he played it completely straight and brought out various weapons, like a shot gun vs. a katana. (Katana is better because it doesn't attract more zombies with noise) He also did a Q&A. It was hilarious. He answered questions like "Can you really walk through a field of zombies by pretending to be a zombie?" (Answer: No).
  4. Wow, Subbie is really strangling the hell out of those two japanese soldiers!
  5. #57's cover rules too. Ended too soon as usual, but I like what they're doing with the story. In the end, its a character study comic book and they do a good job of keeping everyone 3-D (except maybe the mayor) I jhave to say I hate all the extra pages of at the end. I always get faked out that the story will be longer than it always is. Those sales figures previously posted are very enlightining, are those strong sales for a popular comic right now? How do you think they compare to DC or Marvel sales of popular hero books?
  6. Another kudos to 143ksk for a beautiful Jungle #100 CGC 8.5 Okajima Pedigree
  7. Big Ole Kudos to thehumantorch for an awesome FF #60 and Hulk #144 plus Doom freebies to boot. I bought these books as a X-mas gift for my brother and he will be more than pleased!
  8. Great issue! I hope this regular schedule keeps up. Saw WD #2 selling at the LCS for $90!
  9. congrats love em that is a tough issue to nail down. I was never successful. congrats! Awesome cover!
  10. The AIU books are way low on my list of pre-code horror in terms of desirability, art, etc.
  11. I went to the LCS today and for some odd reason they had every Vault of Horror early 90s cochran reprint in perfect condition racked like a new comic. And War Against Crime with the first appearance of the Vault Keeper reprint. So I filled out my VOH reprint run, the clerk had no idea why they were out there and I got them at the cover price which is not a bad deal considering that I've seen many sold over cover in the back issue area of alot of shops I've been through. I know this ain't true pre-code horror, but I thought it was a nice score nonetheless.
  12. Kudos to ft88 for a badass treasury-sized Batman vs. The Incredible Hulk and for working around my schedule on shipping!
  13. Weird...since someone mentioned the deaf amish character, I just realized I did see Diary. I guess it didn't make much of an impression since I forgot I'd seen it. How about Night of The Comet? Non-romero 80s zombie-comedy/horror. I liked as a kid.
  14. man, I cannot wait to start making some money so I can blow it on books like these. Less than a year left of law school
  15. Very cool. Did anyone see this movie? It seemed to go to DVD pretty quick. Was it any good? I wasn't very happy with Land of the Dead.
  16. Obviously...we all kick the bucket...sooner or later... I thought Rick was the one character that won't be kicking the bucket, at least soon?
