  1. Absolute first time I've ever seen it.
  2. And the s#!t hits the fan in 3...2...1...
  3. Nah, I'm one of those dirty people that get sellers to end auctions early.
  4. Yeah, the first couple of years of the Dark Horse series are some of the best examples of comic artistry/writing of the past decade, IMHO. In related news, just got this page in. (Pic is from the auction. Still have to take my own pic of it.)
  5. If you're reading the TPB's, start at Vol. 0 (Rough Stuff) and work your way up. If you're reading the floppies, start with the Avatar series, then the Albatross series (starting with the Color Special), and then the Dark Horse series. Either way, welcome aboard one of the best reads in comics. (Getting through the Avatar books is the hardest part, but after that, the series just starts rocketing into awesomeness.)
  6. Ah! You were the winner of the 9.6 SS. You got a real nice deal on that book, IMO. Glad you stayed away from my Chimichanga.
  7. Welcome to Lovecraft Head Games Crown of Shadows
  8. Took the money and ran Dude, he's going through a world of mess right now. Funnybooks should be the last thing he gives a damn about. Dude what a joke, total joke whoever gave money to his joke of cause. Biggest fraud on the boards. Wow, nice way to respect board members pulling together and helping one another during a drastic time of need. Class act! For SOT's next performance, he will need a puppy from the audience...
  9. No, it is not a photocopy, but I spoke with several OA and framing professionals, and used museum glass that is completely UV blocking. All materials used with the frame itself are archival safe, so I'm not worried about it. The art has been hanging in my upstairs hallway since I got it, and it still looks as great as ever. No direct light is even able to hit it from where it is located He's asking if you cut up a WD #1 to put in the frame, dum-dum.
  10. Nice. Yeah, it made me do a little jig when I saw my snipe came through.
  11. I'd love to see that. Was it by Eric or someone else? In Eric Powell-related news, I just got my first CGC 10 SS! Sweet! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320493223690&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
  12. hm Sounds like an idea for a sweet commission...
  13. Yeah, I'd say that's about right. I'm thinking maaaaybe the $500 mark for the 1st one. By #6 or 7, I think we would be looking at closer $200-225. But it's all about timing the sales. Especially in the face of an upcoming movie. See: Watchmen.
  14. I wonder what the spread is on the projected auction results for copy #1 vs copy #7. (Rest assured, every copy will end up on eBay.)
  15. I'm fairly certain that Eric himself is the owner of all these new 9.8 SS copies.
  16. Seven 9.8 SS copies just appeared out of nowhere! Oh, I bemoan the inevitable drop in value on this book! However, given some 9.8 SS books I've seen graded in the past few months, I can't be sure how "9.8" the copies are.
  17. Where you been, limey? Wrong on both counts. Am I just being dense?
  18. Where you been, limey? Wrong on both counts.
  19. Then I have to retract my statement about Pandora. I think it happened at a similar time to Jasmine and my Spider-sense was working on high alert. Come back Pandora!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's lots of great ladies on these boards. (thumbs u I agree.
  20. Well, the way some boardies jumped all over her after she posted that picture, I'm not surprised. I thought that turned out to be a dude Pandora turned out to be GoonChild, etc.. No, that was Jasmine who turned out to be Goon. He/she posted an early photo off Monica Belucci and claimed it was him/her. There was someone who posted a pic of a blond in the "what do you look like thread" and I could swear it was Scar Jo. Yes, that was Pandora. But she just looked a bit like Scarlett. The photo wasn't of Scarlett. And I don't think there was any discussion that she was a shill/fake. She most recently posted in January. Here's the link to the post where she upped her photo: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=4&Number=3611568&Searchpage=2&Main=75230&Words=Pandora&topic=0&Search=true#Post3611568 Having sold her a book, I can guarantee Pandora isn't a shill or a fake. I can imagine that she doesn't post as much given the lecherous remarks that seem to fly around here from certain members.
  21. There is so much in this post to agree with...
  22. I wish he would do at least 6 issues a year. I know he is busy with the movie, Creepy Covers, Albatross, etc. No, no, no, Chris. According to the peanut gallery, he's been spending most of his time poolside, being fanned with palm fronds and being fed grapes by exotic "roller girl" concubines. Working on multiple projects... Pfft! Yeah, right. Fixed it for you. I personally loved his artwork and stories the most when he was doing a book every other month. The art was stellar and the stories tight. It took a lot out of him doing a book a month. True, true. I think a solid bi-monthly schedule would keep everyone happy. I agree that the monthly schedule really exhausted him.
