  1. Thanks for posting this, Erik. It's a very cool book and the nicest copy I've ever seen. (thumbs u Beats the out of my Vg copy.... come to think of it I think I only have like 5 issues in the 9 and up range out of all of the ST issues I have, and they are probably later ones (have not looked at them in a while). I love this cover, classic indeed.
  2. Awesome grade, one of my fav runs from the sa era.
  3. anyone, how much in demand are the Frankenstein Monster set in (most issues) 9.2 and up ? especially the Dracula issue at about 9.6 or 8?
  4. I remember that story. The book that got you hooked! close; cap 9 from mark mcdermott [now a big shot original art dealer] was the "hooked me" book. had a few caps [for a long while the only timely run i collected] before the first more fun comics g.a. purchase, tho' i had bought a decent amount of silver from pons, ff 4 being the first. OK, I knew it was a Cap book that got you into GA ....just wasn't sure which one. Anyhow...received this baby a few weeks ago but was too busy to post it. Kudos to Phil from VT Comics. Probably my favorite Cap cover ever! nice... now get Joe Simon to sign it and have a SS book.....
  5. Amazig grade for the Bat and jim. Tough call but I woud risk it, just to have a Action 1 which is not a bad grade at all. But it was a really tough call on this one.
  6. Fun book Ronaldo funny cover but it seems that Archie would be kicking the shield in the end....... I would have been annoyed back then , knowing that Archie would be taking over the title.
  7. I may be in the minority, but I have always liked the pre-hero Adventures more than any other run, including the great 1-26 Tec run. It is awesome covers like this one that I just can't see often enough. wow.... what a beauty!
  8. piper whats the grade on your 60? What a cover , will have to get that back one day....
  9. of course I needed a classic DC cover as well.... one of my favorites! Well thats all for now....
  10. Nice show today.... usually I stay within the DC and Timely realm , but I could not resist this!
  11. nice stuff..... wondering what was the age limit tro buy these back then? And what is up with that Batman story in the Feb issue of Spicy Mystery? What year is that from?
  12. Wow! These pulps have such fabulous covers. I only have a few, but I will get a move on and post them finally.... Wondering if anyone has a pic of the 1st Marvel Pulp? I never saw what it looks like.
  13. I think they were all blue mid 3s to mid 4s......... not exactly sure
  14. I do not know, what would cgc do if that was the case ? I totally did not pay attention to that.....
  15. Nice books. Love the Action cover swipe especially!
  16. Thanks! They will look even better after Joe's signature is on them with that nice Yellow label. I was never into war covers but maybe now.....
  17. Thanks Bill, I hope there will be a few more coming soon like a 40... , seriously there are a lot of great covers from the Adventure run that I like personally.
  18. I do not think that having the artist sign his work would mean that it would ruin the book. Especially if it is signed in a nice little corner. I would not sign all my books but just a few in order to have something special directly from the artist.
  19. Great books! Where is Joe Simon signing? He is getting up there in age these days. I had him sign my Brother Power the Geek once, nice guy. Right here in NY, have to have the books in by tomorrow morning.... will be up early to do so. Just to have a few of these signed by Joe is simply amazing!
  20. Got these today........ Not the Gas mask Sandman but pretty cool covers for the later Adventures! Now they are off for Joe Simon to sign..... along with my Cap (ahhhhhh, Signature series books, how special they are.... )
