  1. to start getting gator in the ponscon mood, i'll post his favorite denver. if you think any old denver is tough, how about an o'street classic cover?? oh, and it's for bob, too; hello pal! HELLO PAL. Was this "Hey Pal" not on the worse GA books thread some time ago ? It makes me want to run away from my computer........
  2. Don't see too many double covers around. It will surely make an extra few bucks. But how much more who knows....
  3. Oh man.....I have not been on the BA thread in a while. After seeing all these it makes me want to go back out there and make a Amazing 1-300 run again. Still have more than half of these so here I go...with the other 50%, to reach the goal. My mind has been stuck on Golden age for too long....
  4. oh oh..... I think these are getting too easy here.... how about a little hint (or help) of what to do next....... a Tec 31 Vs. say..... an Action 7 ?
  5. The Detective 18.....that was easy too. And I see yet another blowout here.......
  6. All select without looking twice. That GL issue is horrible. I do not care if it was a 10.0
  7. very nice ! a tough book to get. Nice book. I am not a fan of corny covers usually but this is a cool cover. And being the first Luthor cover makes it more special. One question, how many covers of Superman (in whole) did Shuster do ? Cant remember off the top of my head.
  8. Rick, do you have an extra 4 somewhere ?? man they look nice on that pool table- Do I regret selling my 2 and 4 now
  9. How about the original cover of Young Allies 1 with Stalin on it? Is there even one copy out there ? Or even an Ashcan? If there was would would that be worth?
  10. Yes it was Gabriele. Its my personal favorite Destroyer cover. It seems that Mystics are becoming very difficult to come by. Especially certain issues.
  11. Here is one of my Timely books that has a great Destroyer cover (my personal favorite).
  12. Oh man I have to sleep over this one............... My vote will be in tomorrow.
  13. Ok now lets see some of those superhero showdowns again..... Please?
  14. Crime by a hair. Have to say, kind of like the Duck cover even though I usually don't go for funny covers. But have to stick with the comic formerly known as Silver Streak.
  15. Cap1 like most here. GA over Silver age any day..... make this harder already.........
  16. Detective 27! Although the cover for Action 1 is a cooler cover, the grade for the Detective is quite higher. If the Action had a higher grade then it would be different.
  17. HMMMMM one of the few times I would choose a Silver age key over a GA book. Spiderman will always outsell the Flash without a doubt. Now I wonder what would happen if you put up the AF 15 against a Tec 29 (I know against a 27 would be too easy)
  18. The 40 by a hair.... I mean a 7.0 for this issue in blue???!!! That is huge.
  19. Really? I haven't checked the CGC census to see how many there are out there. Is it possible it could be as rare as say the 26? People in the past used to say the 26 was common and now look at it. Of course I am only presuming. Do not know how many there are out there in total. I have only seen one since I can remember.
  20. Your #34 is a beautiful book any of us would love to own. Great page quality too. Thanks, its a nice copy for its age. Happy it came back a 5.5, was hoping for a little better but what can you do, that was the grade before as well. How many 34s have there been I wonder. I have seen like only 1 before, but cannot remember beyond that.
