  2. Glad I could brighten your week, Michael! Those are the best copies I've ever found for sale... the colors just pop, don't they
  3. The People's Republic of Haven wishes to formally ask the people of the Mandragorian Kingdom to cease and desist from calling the inhabitants of said People's Republic "peeps"... it is derogatory, and leads to civic unrest.
  4. Kudos are for entirely satisfactory transactions. If the transaction is not entirely satisfactory, I would hope that any board seller would be willing to make it so through refunds, returns, or apologies (depending on the severity of the problem). If I sell something, and you are not happy when the book arrives, LET ME KNOW! I will fix it, and most of the people here would probably do the same. If not, THEN take it to the probation thread.
  5. Guess I should make an announcement here, lest there are some that have missed my thread... Due to my recent unemployment, I am listing and hopefully selling most of my collection, in the hopes that I will get up enough capital to get out of this town. The books listed so far are my Atom Agers, Silver Agers and Bronze Agers, and I've listed the first couple of boxes of my pulps... Going to work on the rest of my pulps tonight, and hopefully get them posted sometime tomorrow. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=78&Number=4291125&Searchpage=1&Main=202859&Words=&topic=0&Search=true#Post4291125 Thanks to all of ya'll that have already made purchases, Joshua
  6. Unemployment precluded my involvement with this auction... If not, you would have known what the reserve price was
  7. What should people do if somebody cannot link to a thread, in other words if a transaction has been done through PM ? Name the book(s), and the date?
  8. Way too much brightness/contrast... Clone-stamping gone awry... And extreme lack of taste on color manipulation
  9. Can't remember if I bought from him, or if he bought from me, or if both happened at seperate times, but either way, the transaction(s) went slicker than greased weasel *smurf*!!!
  10. Never had a direct transaction, but everything I've ever seen, heard or read about Sharon has been in the superlative column of the Cool Cat News.
  11. Nothing but smooth transactions with this cat... very cool.
  12. I've bought from, sold to, exchanged unrelated PMs with, and generally found this cat to be cool.
  13. Kudos to LoneTree for packing to beat the USPS... box arrived mangled, books did not! Oh, and thanks for the beautiful books, too!
  14. Man, that is a great cause, and that high end pledge is a no brainer if you got the money... you get 100 copies of a book with a limited production run and a 20.00 cover price PLUS a Jeremy Bastian appearance wherever the hell you want! All for only 1500!!! Geez... sometimes it sucks being poor
  15. Congrats, Matthew! Always nice to hear someone acquiring a long-sought grail!!!
  16. You have to get past my Smith & Wesson and 15 lb attack dog first... (thumbs u :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
  17. I waited four or five months after hearing about it, reading the on-the-boards hype, and finally acquiring them in reverse order The story was good, the concept was great, the artwork was outstanding, and the overall final feeling on it was "This is not ENOUGH! I need MOAR!"
  18. A seldom seen Dave book... Back Issues 1983... This isn't a comic, it's a catalogue for, well, back issues of Men's Magazines (Playboy, Oui, etc.)... But what a great "Marilyn"-esque cover!
  19. Yeah, Scrooge pretty much nailed it. Pre-Code Crime is very hit-and-miss, and has more cool covers than cool stories, and Avon-Realistic, of the books I've managed to acquire, are the real standouts. Avon's "The Unknown Man", "It Rhymes With Lust", "The Hooded Menace", and "Underworld Story" are all very cool, and definitely worth tracking down... Also, St-John's "Authentic Police Cases" is a cool title with some worthy interiors...
  20. Congrats, Kelly! That is the most beautiful #33 I have ever seen! Oh, and congrats on the award too!
  21. ajaxlargo is one of the few ebay sellers that are accurate graders... I'd say he runs about 95%, and when he's off, it ain't by much!
  22. Yeah, man! All of those are on my list Nice copies!
