  1. Here is my favorite cover of the series and the only the early Hulk I own...............so far.
  2. Here is the other recently slabbed, pre-hero that I got back from CGC this morning. My favorite pre-hero JIM cover. Been looking for a sweet copy of this for the past five years and I finally got it. Thanks again AtlasT (thumbs u you did not disappoint.
  3. A huge KUDOS to AtlasT for the easiest and best transaction I have had so far. I placed WTB for a raw JIM 78 and he obliged with a sweet copy. Like I said best transaction so far. AtlasT is a real class act and very professional. Thanks again Tom.
  4. I just got this, a Two-Gun Kid 59, Double cover back from CGC.
  5. Those Gunsmoke Western's are un-real. Based on those covers, you found a true treasure. The Gunsmoke's are so hard to come by and have awesome Kirby covers. Great purchase Rodan. (thumbs u
  6. That's why he has that killer TTA set in the registry. (thumbs u I would really like to know their print runs (Pre-Hero) prior to FF #1. It's obvious by the census that it must have been really low. But a solid figure would be nice to hear. I was told at one time CBG listed print runs but I have yet to see this info float around. I wonder how much longer Stan Lee would have kept going with the Monster and Western titles without the birth of JLA, excluding Marvel's financial pinch during that era.
  7. It seems like Heritage has been selling a steady flow of nice pre-hero Marvels lately. The strange thing is that most of these have been getting a $350 dollar bid within the first 24 hours. A TTA 5 , 8.5 is set up for a future auction and it looks real nice. Hopefully a TTA 28 comes up soon. But I doubt it.
  8. Wow, I did not know that even back then the KId Colt's had stories with werewolve's. Love that green boarder on the cover.
  9. Very nice. The Black Rider's have some really cool covers.
  10. Allright, maybe someone could insert a Rawhide Kid 19.
  11. Nice. That is a hard to find book in any condition and a truly great Atlas/Marvel key.
  12. Kudos to: blazingbob for a great raw copy of JIM 93, always friendly and a class act. Flying Donut for a CGC'd Batman 428 at a great price, he even uses modern age comics as packing, which ironically enough where some great reads. Cool guy and very fast delivery. Joeypost for fast payment on a Marvel Premiere. Wormboy for the quick purchase of a Marvel Spotlight. These are the type's of people that make this forum a great place.
  13. I was told the Yorba Linda Con was mostly anime , but obviously this would have been a better oppertunity than San Diego to catch some awesome pre hero Marvels. I would have also had a shorter drive. I am definatley going next year. Awesome books on the latter part of this thread, especially Atlas Fans.
  14. Is Goldenage comics (www.goldenagecomics.com) still an active seller and is the owner, Joe Nacca a board member??? He has a great inventory, I just hope it's not outdated.
  15. Kudos to: Flamming Telepath for an awesome Thor 166 CGC 9.2 Dale Roberts for a beautiful copy of Our Army At War 124 Foolkiller for Fantastic Four 6 CGC 8.0 and a JIM 119 CGC 9.2 Boston Pedigree byosti for a spectacular and awesome copy of X-Men 109 CGC 9.6, extremely fast shipping by the way. Thirdgreenham for his prompt and speedy payments for Our Army At War 120 and 126. All of these guys are a class act and I will continue to watch their sales post. This is my first year on the boards and I am greatful for the oppertunity to be a part of this community. I wish I had known about the board sooner, like 8 years ago.
  16. I would like to think Kid Colt 100 or 107, they seem to be the keys in the title.
  17. I have yet to see a Rawhide Kid 17 at any con or store in this area. I hope I have better luck this year in San Diego. I was told by a friend that the Wonder con in SF is the place to go for serious silver age, on top of the fact that it is not as commercial as SD and people that attend still believe in personal hygiene and manners. I really want to get a hold of 22.
  18. Has anybody had any recent luck (say the last 3 years) at the conventions or on other sites when it comes to finding early silver age Marvel westerns. (Rawhide KId, Two Gun Kid and Kid colt ) I was recently outbid on a Rawhide Kid 22 that went for 90 bucks. The condition was probably VG+ to VG/FN. Here in Southern California all the conventions seem to be dried up when it comes to these titles. Maybe someone knows a respectable dealer or board member that has had better luck.
