The Slab Sent 'Round The World - Update??
Years and years and years ago in the early, dark days of this message board, wasn't there a slab (or a book or a box or something) being passed around among board members, hot potato-style? Whatever happened to that thing? Seems like it had a drawing of Captain America on it or something. Man, my memory's terrible...

None of the Seattle stores are going to have a presence there? (Arcane, Comics Dungeon, et al.)

I think we need an entire thread just roasting Greggy and his purchase of this particular book.

Got a sweet slab from Steve just the other day. Couldn't have been better packed or faster! Flawless transaction, and a nice guy who responds quickly to PMs. Thanks, Steve!

This isn't the "Show us your severe mis-wraps" thread.

Thank you. We are getting a lot of great feedback about it. I have stores all over handing out fliers for us.
I have formed a local Facebook group made up of just comic enthusiasts from Portland area to north of Seattle. It is a great network of stores, sellers, buyers, and collectors. I keep members updated on local chows and comic goings. Also, list when there are yard and estate sales that have comics. Check it out and join.
Thanks for the invite! I actually just joined yesterday. I'm loving the activity in that group... I'm new to Seattle and I don't know many/any comic book people in the area yet, so it'll be good to get chat with you guys.

Bored at work today. Anybody got time for funny stories re: this guy? Never heard of him.
He once threatened me with the gift of a flight to NYC, a steak dinner, and an as-s-kicking.

Man, I was just lamenting the lack of small shows in the Seattle area. This is great news! Looking forward to the show.

Those Garfields are really cool.

Which boardie was it from the Age of Antiquity (10+ years ago) who had that incredible white shelf setup? Chromium? Is he still around? Does anyone have pics of his setup saved? (Ian Levine's was also pretty righteous...)

My bus to work drops off inside the convention center... it's a beautiful thing.

He uses words now?? I've got a Chrome extension that just converts all his posts to pictures of ground beef.
