Excited to join the family here. The most expensive book I've purchased yet. I feel very fortunate to be able to afford this personal holy grail. I won't let it go in my lifetime... (unless I dare to trade and upgrade lol)

$1,100 (not including taxes/shipping). The most i've ever paid for a comic yet... but this one is special to me and my 11-year old kiddos 😍 We recently read through the first 100 issues of the IDW series and we absolutely love them so this 1st appearance, even if it's a 3rd print, is so going to be displayed well on my wall ✨

Finally pulled the trigger on this holy grail of mine... I'm so happy 😍

I finally dug out my copy today from storage... and I totally forgot it came with the Toy Catalog which I also added as part of this stored bag and board... probably wasn't the wisest decision because i see the spine ticks now 😅 Did you end up keeping the Toy Catalog? I wonder if it's worth anything

Fascinating to hear how rare a 9.8 was in the initial years. Challenge accepted. I have this issue bagged and boarded for the past few decades. I'm going to submit this baby to CGC this month and see if I can get 9.6 or higher haha Thanks for the spark! 💥

That's a beautiful cover... and now my childhood nostalgia is hitting me full force. Did anyone ever play the Superman Arcade game when it was co-op with two players? There was a blue costumed Superman AND a red costumed Superman. I thought it was pure laziness/efficiency from the game developers just so we can have two players play simultaneously but maybe this is actually canon and sourced from this comic haha I'm getting a bit giddy thinking about this. I apologize in advance if this Red Superman lore is common for Superman fans... I never really got into DC comics' superheroes so my only knowledge comes from the movies and video games 😅

I also asked in the "ASK CGC" forum section and this is what they said: "This is perfectly fine, as long as you have both the Alex Ross packing slip, and the regular grading packing slip in the box. I would try to separate the two orders in the box as well if at all possible (like a piece of cardboard between the two). Please let us know if you need any additional assistance."

That's cool cover and yes, Moon Knight is growing on me, especially because of the Disney+ show. The only thing I don't like about this cover and several covers from the Bronze age... the "damsels in distress" (especially Conan) is not my cup of tea haha I finally finished that "This Week in Your Magazine Collection" thread (took me HOURS) and there some great ones I'm eyeing. Rampaging Hulk 9 is definitely on my radar. But going to see what key comics are out there too that may have an eye-popping cover.

Whoa... never seen this before. I love how CGC recognizes this magazine pre-dates Giant-sized X-men #1 and #94. I will look into this issue more - love it! Thank you for sharing.
