  4. Thats awesome Roy, and so cool that you still have them. Old artwork from our youths is one of a kind and irreplacible. Thanks for sharing. You make me wanna dig out my old "ART BOX" and see whats in there.
  5. This is something I did in 1979 when I was around 20. Black India ink on coldpress drawing board. I named it "Capricorn" cuz thats the star constellation that is showing in the sky and is my horoscope sign. I was in a cold dark place during those years. Lost and pretty much without hope. This picture reminds me how lonely I was. About a month later Jesus made Himself known to me and I left the dark and lonely place behind forever.
  6. I dig this one (thumbs u Reminds me of the days when it was new on the stands
  7. I guess Rick hasn't read or looked at his Captain Marvels lately

  10. Wow nice set-up...is that a Frazetta sketch in the corner? I wish... it's a Jeff Jones lithograph (Agony). I see some framed Steadman stuff. Nice. Good eye. The caveman is an illustration for a sunglasses ad. The larger piece is the hand lettering for the illustrated edition of Fahrenheit 451 I worked on with him a few years ago. Wow ! Thats alot of reading material. You need to live in a place where it rains alot so you'll have an excuse to spend more time in there
  11. Those are fantastic Norinn. It looks like they have coasters (do they?) so you can move em around. When full, they must weigh a ton though.

  17. I was at SDCC in 1985 and picked up ALL 3 of these posters and was fortunate enough to have Alex himself, who was in attendence that year, sign them all. What an honor to meet such a legend I really wish I had taken a picture of him doing the signings......that would be a really great pic. I can still picture him sitting there at that table. I didn't even have to wait in line, I just walked right up to him. That was when the show was at the other place. Not the El Cortez.....but not the new convention center either.....that other middle place. I still have this poster today !! Hehehe....look at this picture from about 1986. My son who was born in '85 ....in his crib. Look at the framed pic on the wall above him.....its the signed Alex Schomburg Marvel Mystery #66.......Imagine wakin up to THAT every morning !!! That kids gotta have an apprecication for comics....he's just gotta !!!
  18. Guess I would never have any trouble finding one of those
  19. Just wondering about this cuz of all the record keeping and stuff that goes on with CGC, and the census and all.....if we (or somebody) cracks open a slab to get to the book......wouldn't it be a good idea to notify them? Sort of like a courtesy or something. I mean it could alter alot of things if the guy with the highest graded copy of Marvel Mystery #58 cracks it open, which in my thinking would immediately put the second highest graded copy right to the top. Any thoughts?
