I have been doing a "spring cleaning" in the garage these last few weeks, and had to get the "hot wheels" storage containers down from the upper garage shelves. So while they were down, I remembered this thread and thought, "I may as well take a couple shots for the cgc peeps". So here they are. My thoughts were always that when some grand kids came along I'd have lots of track and could buy NEW cars at any dept. store on earth to race them. Grand kids are still not in sight I didn't remember that I had any that were still in the packages.

What many don't realize about this "expert, with years of comic handling" is that he tossed them into that pile from about ten feet away.

Yes. I'm just giving this picture a hard time because Leifeld is famous for never drawing ankles or feet. It's not personal.
-
Where are his ankles?

Law and order are out the window at this point. It's a "go for it " world now.

We knew the MODS were a covert group of powerful individuals, who silently handed out strikes and warnings, and we skirted direct contact with them at all costs. Also, it was discovered that their sole weakness was comic book covers. The comic underground continued its attempts to get the Oakman freed from his cell.

There was a time a few back when the mods were getting super heavy handed and giving out strikes and short term suspensions for stupid reasons. I remember Oakman getting booted for a week (or more?) and made these up to help bolster the resistance.

Nice Kav. Thats a lot!!

I wish him all the best, but I remember when this place split and formed two chat boards. He was part of "that other grading company" now. It was a bummer how many people went over there never to be heard of again

That music seems so completely out of touch with the times. I mean, Viet Nam was going on. British invasion in full power. The rock and roll industry. Movies. R rating becoming a thing. Drug culture. A lot of MJ being smoked. And the Jesus people revival too. But not........ whatever that was. It seems to be about 10 - 15 years behind. Wonder if Stan had anything to do with it?

The most amazing thing about Edgar Bergen, (besides fathering Candice), is that he became famous on radio with his ventriloquist act. I wonder if any magicians became famous on radio??? IDK but I really get a kick out of the old radio shows of Charlie McCarthy, especially the ones with W.C. Fields as a guest. They went at each other constantly and the wit was top drawer

Thx Cheech....er Dave. I will always reach out to the human element first. Google will be the end of civilization. You just watch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After listening to it, I felt kind of dumbed down or something. It was a Rogers and Hammerstein musical, but NOT nearly as good. Give me The Sound of Music any day!!

I think you should make a recording of that record and link it here for all us dying to know what is on it and what it sounds like

this one of Reverend Lovejoy is on the south wall of a car mechanic shop only 100 feet from the adult porno store. Haha, it struck me as funny. Don't know why his rabbit is dripping. Looks like a chocolate easter bunny -

This is the only "non color" painting i have come across. Since it is dated, it seems to me he could have finished it by now, if he was going to.
