  1. A reply was received......it was Overstreet's fault......and his "teams" fault......(tagging @Polonsky since he was mentioned unnecessarily as well): To answer your question: Overstreet never notified me saying I'm not! I have no reason to suggest otherwise in that we've sold millions of dollars of comic books. In fact all other advisors have made mistakes in their journeys as well and here we are. Isn't making mistakes and learning a part of the process? A few of the mistakes we've made are: -Not having someone on my team check if CGC messed up ie Character Labels before getting listed (pulled promptly, canceled all orders) -Having our team grade comics remotely (changed that long ago, refined grading standards to tight letter grades as good as Blissard) -Struggling to let ex-friends like Polonsky go even if they're making a mean/unfair decision (I have better things to do these days and more than enough choices to who I can surround myself with) Have you ever struggled with letting an old friend that just changed overnight go forever? I have multiple times. It's painful but I live and learn. I've found that sometimes you just gotta let go like I should have sooner with Polonsky, it seems like this thread is having the same issue. It's often easier to criticize others but when we look within we all have our own things to work on as much as nobody wants to admit it By the way, I asked you this question on July 8th 2022 via email but unfortunately did not receive a response: "Lori, how many people on these boards who comment about anything related to our company have had an in-person, telephone or video conversation with me or a member of our team in the past 2 years?" I would love to continue our relationship but if it's not gonna be a 2-way street it's not gonna work between us Whatever happens I wish you all the best and a fantastic year! Respectfully yours, -Dylan
  2. The following email was sent to him asking about this claim in his auction. Dylan,Why are you stating that you are an Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide Advisor? That is not true. You used to be an advisor for them, but no longer are. In your Ebay auctions, you mention your market report in the 50th edition.....but that was two years ago. Your claim that you ARE an advisor is deceptive.
  3. A member on Facebook named Joseph Ross was called out for spamming various CGC comic as well as video game collector groups. He's made identical posts in a number of groups about how "CGC Video Games got this right". It wasn't apparent, but when people checked out his profile, they noticed he started a position in June as a grader with CGC Video Games.
  4. After decades of selling Full-Backs with two white sides, you would have thought at least ONE person at E.Gerber would have said......."hey, collectors might not like this change or might be confused about it....let's include a simple one page printout in each order explaining the new boards".
  5. I've heard you already have a complete booger collection....but thought there might be room for an upgrade. I guess that snot going to happen.
  6. I'll activate the "Jimmers" signal. BOOBS ! ! !
  7. Long story short.....it's a bit of a forum inside joke in here based on an actual occurrence. You're too new in here to know the backstory, but the artist commission @THE_BEYONDER posted of Dr. Strange after my post is a part of it. Back in 2007, a board member in here paid a comic book artist (Michael Golden) to do a commission piece for him. He paid over $500 for it up front, with a promised delivery date of a month and a half. It, of course, didn't arrive. He was then promised another 4 delivery dates, which Golden failed to meet each time. The board member found out there were several more of this artist's customers in the same boat, so they got together and confronted Golden as a group. Finally, Golden reluctantly sent the already paid for commission piece to the board member.......and when it arrived, it was just a very simplified silhouette of Dr. Strange (blowing a raspberry to the customer, no less) that was not worth the over $500 he paid for it. Plus...in a big f**k you to his customer...Golden decided to put the message of "Patience is a virtue, Mr. Turnbull" into the commissioned piece. Just one more snotty gesture for someone actually daring to want a commission piece they had already paid him for in the timely manner it was promised. And, to top it all off....the vindictive skinsack forgot to include the letter "T" in the word "VIRTUE"..........hence, "Patience is a Virue" is now ingrained into the forums history. I did find the original archived thread about it from 2007 which is located here if anyone is interested in reading up on it. And here's another look at the over $500 commission he sent to the board member.
  8. Posted this information in the Water Cooler.......but realize that many in here don't visit that particular asylum. CGC has finally revealed the cases for their upcoming video game grading service. They're receiving very mixed reviews on Facebook.
  9. Many felt the same way about modern comics (which I still don't deal with). But people were definitely asking for WATA to grade more modern stuff (PS3 and original Xbox all the way up to the current consoles)....which they finally added to the mix. Now that WATA is grading modern games, they did take the additional step of breaking each level of grading into a Retro tier, as well as a less expsive Modern tier. Their new larger facility in California has also enabled them to eliminate their backlog, and their turnaround times are now running pretty much as stated. They also added (and have been updating) a population report. Here is WATA's current pricing and turnaround time for sealed games: Turbo service (90 business day turnaround): $60 for Retro games and $40 for Modern games. Speed-Run service (45 business day turnaround): $85 for Retro games and $70 for Modern games. Warp-Zone service (18 business day turnaround): $210 for Retro games and $195 for Modern games.

  11. It's literally painful to watch them grow more incompetent as each day passes.
  12. I sent the OP a private message berating him and asking where the pictures are. He replied with "Patience is a Virue" and then suggested I go have sexual relations with myself.
  13. I belonged to the Roy Rogers Buckaroo Club as a kid. Had the official membership card with genuine plastic wallet. We couldn't stand you Airstream club kids......with your fancy indoor sleeping and such.
  14. Watched a small portion of that video. Clayton Crain appears to have the personality of a frozen corpse.
  15. You mean other than this thread full of people commenting about a comic that other people are buying with their money?
  16. Agreed......we'll probably never know for sure. But after what we just witnessed with a ridiculous plastic covered reprint.....the people waiting in line to spend $75 on it......the tiny controversy it caused.......and the graded copies selling immediately on eBay for hundreds and even thousands of dollars......it would take a lot more than this to surprise me or make me question it.
  17. When I can pick up copies for less than they are going for in his campaign, I am going to buy one copy in the name of each person in here that indicated they were against it. You haven't done that, but I will buy an additional copy in your honor as well. Unfortunately, I'm going to put them all into my own collections, so I can pull them out and smile as I remember all of the panty twisting, teeth gnashing and screeching they caused from people that were free to simply not buy them.
  18. And just to be clear.....I don't take your questioning about the $84 spent per customer as anything negative. It's a valid observation. However, I think you have to look at his campaign in its entirety. He's offering different covers for his first issue....hats....poster.....shirts.....trading cards......many with alternate images available.....and bundles. Many of these options meet or far exceed that $84 total. He's offered.$290.....$350......$425......and even $5,000 bundles. All which have sold out. You know how collectors are with different covers and associated merchandise. Do you REALLY think this $84 average is such a stretch? Because it doesn't even cause a blip on my radar.
  19. We'll just have to agree to disagree......because his own statement clearly indicates he doesn't know what he's talking about. He's just going off of blind hatred. And no worries. I don't feel like I'm getting dogpiled at all. My posts about racism are based in just as many facts as those pointing out the bigotry, hatred, discrimination, and fabricated numbers regarding the supporters of this book. Perhaps some of those "labelers" should look within. Plus, I just like seeing this thread bumped to the top. That means more people that might be interested in this book will see it and buy it. And those that are just interested in buying for the controversy of it all might get it as well. Then the Rippaverse has a bigger chance of success, and I can feed on more tears from the outraged.
  20. Why did you edit my post when you quoted it? You need to look again.
  21. Oh, I knew what he was referring to. I also knew that you had said an average of $84 per customer had been spent, and that Namor's comment about $84 per issue meant he doesn't really even know what he's talking about. He's obviously just running on his own bias and lashing out at anything he "perceives" to be something he doesn't like.
  22. You see, that's where you and I differ. Because I realize that everyone makes grammar and spelling mistakes, so I don't make a habit of pointing them out. Those that do, however, tend to be the pompous, self-righteous types. So, even after I forgive their spelling and/or grammar mistakes...I'm still left talking to pompous, self-righteous individuals that are incapable of seeing their own massive faults. Unfortunately, it's a burden I have to bear.
