I was really surprised I liked this book; pretty refreshing idea, I really like that they are telling the story of what happens after you come home again. I hope the scope isn't too large and they can keep the story intriguing.
I agree on all counts. Looks like this book has a huge story to tell and will be around for a long time.

Midtown has #4 listed for 10-22 something is really messed up with Diamond on this. Its there but they won't release it.

Though they were only speculating here, let me be the first to tell you all: Five Ghosts is officially in development for television at SYFY. We're working on a pilot now, will have lots and lots to report.

And that being said... I can't believe I missed a listing for an Ashcan on Ebay that sold for buy it now at $100... sigh... anybody here snag it? Was on Aug 24th
I literally had heartburn about it for 3 days when I saw that I missed it. Not kidding, if someone even looked at me funny I was ready to rip their face off.
I could have sworn there were actually 2 of them that sold for around that price but looking back now I cant seem to find the 2nd listing so maybe I was dreaming.

Completely agree with the blurriness this issue.
I asked Matt about this yesterday, and he came back that this issue (and a few before it) he used smaller paper to help get through some deadlines, but that it really didn't speed things up for him and the details didn't scale properly. The loss of distinction in the line work is the result.
He has switched back to regular size paper for issue 11.

Would be my guess BUT...... we complain if a book is late, so if once in awhile things are not 100% perfect, I can live with it as long as it doesn't become a constant thing

It is still very much a $40-50 book. That's up from a $30 book in late July but long way from solid $80 book. Just my .02 from taking a second to look at the sales.
+1 That's what I'm seeing too, if you look at completed sales, not what people want for it.
Keeping in mind that books sell for more at conventions than on ebay for certain books - this book has heated down quite a bit on ebay. Gone are the $80 ebay sales. $100 sold at convention? I've seen one or two - its more of an impulse buy book ATM. Might change if DC decides to issue another shirt.

That comic has more flaws than a NM should imo. I don't think the Strain is going anywhere unless it goes up. People are high on the show.
Personally I think that is a pretty high price for the condition of the book. Some pretty good dings

The numbers for #2 & #3 are inaccurate and shaded low.
#4 more than doubles actuals for #2 & #3.
#5 even higher still.

Sad there were less than 2K issues of #3 per comichron; no wonder no one saw these in the shops. Hopefully we see a nice jump for #4 (hoping for 4K, but 2X might be hoping for too much).
Geez. No wonder Diamond dropped the ball....they probably didn't give a rip about an order for 2k books.
Zero chance this book doesn't triple those numbers soon.

Had a surprise waiting for me on Wed.
Walked into my LCS and the owner smiled and said "Hey! They actually came in" I was confused and said, awesome news....what came in?
He smiled and said come back here and help me with these 2 boxes. I headed around the counter and we both grabbed a box each. One had my weekly pull and the other was filled with.......Enormous #4s! Supposedly I had him order a large batch of each cover a few months back and they all came in. I truly do not remember that but was stoked as I wasn't able to snag any online.
Walked around doing this all day Wed
Was lucky enough to read issue #4 a few weeks back but read it again in hand. LOVE this book.
