  1. I have had the day to reflect, and my critical post was made with a knee jerk reaction and not thought out. It was not quite what I was expecting after seeing everything else that has come out in the past few months. Coupled with the long wait time, and it being the wrong book I was simply frustrated. I do really like them, it will go well with my Gwen with headphones remarques from various artists. I meant no disrespect to Arthur at all, and I am sure CGC will do everything they can to try and find my book.

I apologize for being so harsh to both Arthur, and the CGC team. I know they are both doing their best.

  2. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I was worried after seeing the Magick one, but was starting to feel a bit better when I started seeing all the others come back. Even ones on darker covers were done with effort, or fully coloured in to contrast the dark background. It is not bad, not by a long shot, it just doesn't seem to have the same love and effort put into it as others.

On top of the long wait, getting a perceived lower effort remarque, this isn't even the book I sent in! I sent in a virgin cover, and am getting back a trade dress, there is a fairly substantial price difference between them.

I don't think Arthur knows what comics come from where. He's just handed the comics in their window bags, pretty sure. I think he'll continue the quality he's been doing as it wouldn't be fair for the rest of us who only want the art for our collections, after he's put so much work into the others, which, sadly, a good number of them are just for flipping. Looking forward to seeing yours when you get them - please post them when you do!

While I agree, that he will put in the effort that he has for the others. There is no way he doesn't know which book goes to whoever. Having them all at his house to work on in his spare time they would have the info slips with them, and the info card in the bag.

Thanks. Mine are still Received at CCS so I probably have a few more weeks of waiting.

Yeah, CCS slows things down considerably. I have a couple in there from the most recent Artgerm signing, they just got out of Received at CCS. Other people were getting theirs back within 5 days of the signing. If you look at the date on the these books, it was one week today that they were signed. They were signed, shipped by Dan back to CGC, graded and shipped out within a week.

  5. 12 sketch covers have been sold on ebay since the beginning of December. 10 of them coming from the same seller. It's pretty vile how one person has single handedly managed to upset Arthur, everyone else who sent in books, and still profited thousands upon thousands off the hard work and generosity of Arthur. They have also managed to get policies changed, so that next signing, we won't be able to send in sketch covers. I was hoping to send one in for the next signing seeing how amazing all of these are turning out, but why would One Stop Comic Shop be punished, when others can be harmed instead.

That Wolverine on the 2nd row with a small piece of hair showing is closing on ebay today, currently at $810.

Apparently most of these were sent in by one person with the intent to flip. Because of this individual_without_enough_empathy I can almost guarantee next signing will have a limit, and blank sketches will be far more expensive.

Really is fun waiting months and months, and then getting screwed over next signing because of cgc mess policies and this individual_without_enough_empathy. I guess me for sending in books he worked on and I liked. Shoulda sent in a bunch of blanks to flip.

    Hi

Anyone can contact the signature series directly.  Here is the e-mail:

    signatureseries@cgccomics.com

Why is it always on us to contact the team? Why is it so hard to literally just post the same email that they send out when asked about it. There is tons of activity on social media. It would take 10 minutes to make a post on IG, FB, Twitter, these forums etc. Instead, we get left in the dark, after paying for a service, that at this point almost seems like it may not happen. With all the recent bad press and scandals CGC is involved in, wouldn't literally doing the bare minimum be a good thing?

I asked the below in the Ask CGC forum Wednesday morning and my post is still sitting there unapproved. CGC customer service seems to not have the answer.

@CGC Mike can you look into this?

Is the Dan Parent private signing still scheduled? There's been no mention of it anywhere, and the original announcement has dropped off the private signing list on the CGC website.

Dan is quite active on IG. He is currently in Alaska for a con there. I am guessing, and hoping it will take place sometime this month.

  9. They will get a green label, and will just be noted as "name written on cover in marker". CGC only gives yellow for their own in house signings. If you want them to be yellow label, you would need to submit them to CBCS. They will authenticate and grade them with "Verified Signature: Name Here". You do not need to submit COAs with them. They will just throw them out. It wouldn't hurt to include copies of them, it could help with the validity.

  10. More remarques are coming back. It feels so bad seeing how badly those of us that didn't send in blanks are getting fuxed.  We have to wait longer, and seemingly, getting the bate minimum of effort. I guess that's on me. Why would I want something that Art worked on, when I could get a blank cover with a full $500 commission piece. This is such a awful experience. Just look at the difference in quality from the blank, to the actual remarque.

  11. I can already tell this is gonna be a fun next couple of months. Where everyone who sent in blanks is getting their $500+ works back, and the rest of us will wait for months, or maybe another year before we see anything back. It's gonna feel extra bad when, for his next signing, they don't allow blanks because of this mess.

Who did you use for facilitating? Plus, you had a tape pull on the top right at the "R" that was the reason for the downgrade. Ideally, that should not happen.

I'm not sure its a tape pull, it looks like its part of the artwork. There are several other of those movement "lines" or whatever we want to call them.

I dont think this is negative, just an observation for Arthur if he reads this or someone can make this suggestion to him.  I am grateful he is doing amazing remrques although at this rate i dont see him finishing this year,   And speculating that we might be getting all our orders cancelled in six months when he is burnt out on trying to do this high quality for everyone…. Nothing would frustrate me off more in the world.

But… how about save all the sketch blank covers for last and do all all the hundred or several hundred of remarque orders that are on covers he drew, that he could do Thirty or perhaps even Fifty in a single day?  Rather than i dunno, 6 or 8 sketch cover blanks and going by orders in batches?

photo example of  cover remarque below.  These are a whole lot faster to do than the sketch cover blanks i’ve seen of 4 peoples finished orders.    I can also understand people frustration at such a long wait and seemingly a handful of sketches are done of hundreds and hundreds.

One dealer on ebay got 5 beautiful blank covers already and is selling magneto rn.

That would be a fantastic thing to do, but at this point I think that all of us that didn't send in blanks are just getting fuxked at this point. Art seems to be working on the blanks as a priority, and giving them lots of attention. As a result we have to wait, have them travel (a nice lie that that is not what is happening) and then we get no information.

All it would take is some transparency on what is happening, and some honesty out of CGC, that seems a pretty tall order at this point.

  14. I emailed them, like suggested by @CGC Mike, here is what was said,

"Thank you for your email. I'm sorry to hear that you received conflicting information. Due to the volume of submissions of remarques that Art Adams received, he was unable to complete them all at his signing. We are currently sending the books to the artist in batches to be worked on. Once books are completed we expedite them through the grading and encapsulation process. I apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced and for the delay with the service. I can confirm that the books are actively being worked on and we are doing everything in our power to get the books back to clients as soon as possible."

No scheduling other signing, no date for possible completion, but they are going through the mail, being worked on in free time, and there is no supervision. Why were we told, on more than one occasion that they were NOT with Art, and that there would be another signing?
