Welcome back PROBATION LIST scammer, how are you? well, I dont know what he did in the past and I didnt ck to see if he was on the list. I bought a Chew #1 From him and it arrived today. It's actually a real nice copy and will be sent to CGC. I'm not sure if that will help or redeem his name but I am a happy camper from the deal we made this past week... so this guy is on the probie list and is still selling books. what a . j Okay, let's clear some stuff up. First off, I didn't scam anyone. As Pirate can easily tell anyone, all I did was back out of a deal for my own personal reasons, and he can't seem to let that go. And if he's referring to my attempt to bury the hatchet by having him witness a signing, he blew up when I asked him if he'd take payment after the books had been signed (For the record, I've had several books witnessed by multiple witnesses, all of which accepted payment afterwards. I'd rather pay after I know the book is signed, that way nobody has to worry about sending money if the book doesn't get signed.) Second, I didn't sell anything on the moderns boards. If you look at my posts, all I said was that I had several copies available, and seeing as how this thread is devoted to the comic, I figured these guys could use the copies the most. Last but not least, as you have already heard from bcruze, he received his book, and to quote him, wrote "kudos to the following guys for great books and super fast shipping and well packaged books ThatOneGuy" So I would think this would clear up some confusion about the whole "scammer" thing, don't you think? you are missing the point, the probation list is here to present to buyers and sellers the members who have NOT completed an agreed deal. The probie list states that unless the person that the deal was broken with agrees to remove the offender, that offender CANNOT sell on the boards regardless if it is in the selling threads or any of the other threads. The issue that put you on the probie list HAS to be corrected prior to any sales on these threads. Using the excuse "Second, I didn't sell anything on the moderns boards. If you look at my posts, all I said was that I had several copies available, and seeing as how this thread is devoted to the comic, I figured these guys could use the copies the most." I have this one question for you, DID MONEY EXCHANGE HANDS FOR THESE BOOKS? If the answer is yes, would that not be SELLING? The reason I'm coming down hard is the past few weeks have seen a long list of selling and buying issues spring up, and regardless if i was not invloved in one of them, I would still bring this up because the original person you agreed to deal with has not been provided a reasonable SOLUTION to the issue. It doesn't matter if bcruze got his book (but he is a cool guy!) it's the person from last year or 2007 has not be made good. How would you like it if someone made a deal with you and it got to the point that you HAD to put them on the list and over a year and a half later they sold a book or two but didn't sell a book or two, they just exchanged money for certain books that were in high demand? Would you be happy? Guess not. over. j

You're a good man J for taking all this on to resolve the situation. Thanks for showing so much care. (thumbs u I'll second that. Looks like the little turd gets away without even doing any legwork at all. I seriously hope you learn from this CAPFreak. There won't always be people who are willing or prepared to dig you out of your own holes. Even if capfreak clears up his problems I think he should stay on the probation list. Judging from his COMPLETE history in board transactions, I have to agree. A person only gets off the probation list if the people who put him there agrees to do so - as I'm one of those people, I can guarantee you that he'll stay on the list (thumbs u don't forget to pm me with your info, looks more and more that i'll just be paying the people he owes. j

why wouldn't previews be considered first appearances if released prior to the series? In the writing world, no matter what, when or how, the first time any part of a story is published (even in blogs) it is considered the first print. Any subsquent releases are to be denoted as 2nd and after in the indicia. If any story is released to the general public it is considered 1st print, if even a preview is published, why would that not be a 1st appearance? Granted it will not be the 1st full appearance, but still the first appearance. j

the boards have to come to an agreement w/the mods as how to label probies so everyone can see that they are not permitted to sell. so does that lead to banning? since he was put on the list 1 1/2 years ago prohibiting the sale of his books and he turns around and sells more, outside of the selling boards. j Personlly, my vote would go towards a custom title for the probation list members agreed and a rainbow brite avatar as well. j

Not to derail this thread but I was always wondering how many complaints it takes for Paypal to suspend an account. I am curious if it is a certain number and if so, how many and over what period of time. They would never answer that question when I asked awhile back. Me too, though I am sure frequency of complaints in a given period could have an impact. One would hope i'm currently working on a resolution at this time with connor to make sure all are reimbursed. so whoever was impacted by this, send me a pm with your email address, how much is owed and if possible a link to the thread that you bought the books (just for verification). it looks like it is almost impossible to get him the money to disburse at this time and i and everyone else wants this over with asap. j

i did receive the book, pm'd him to let him know and just waiting to pay since paypal will not allow payments to him at this time (sent another pm stating this as well). so... j

Got an email from paypal today: "An eCheck payment from Connor Amans was declined by the sender's bank." So much for my refund i haven't paid him yet, i want him to come to me and tell me what is owed so there is no doubt that he was paid in full. j

This is true, but they should at least restrict known swindlers from posting in the For Sale forum. they should make the whole avatar area pink, kind of like they do in some prisons by making the inmates wear pink. then again, some may like that too much. j

same with a relavitely older shakey cam movie 'the zombie diaries" came out last year or 07? it's a brit movie, not bad but its only 70(!) min long. j

Slight OT: Watched a movie that had what i would call "evolved zombies" called Pontypool. Based on the book named Pontypool Changes Everything, it was written by Tony Burgess. Its pretty cool, zombies are alive this time (they never died) but there is something that is infecting the population of Pontypool Ontario Canada turning them into semi-violent deadheads. The movie takes place in a low power radio station in the basement of a church (literally 99% of it takes place there) where a fired big time dj is now back in the minors doing am radio just to scrape by. Relatively short at a 93 minutes, it is good and a different twist on the zombie genre makes this a refreshing movie. j

Or at the very least, make it like a prison sentence, and give him X years on the list. After his behavior and repeated problems/time on the list, removing him now would be a real joke. I disagree. Membership in the Hall of Shame should be permanent. There should never be former members of the Hall of Shame. That's the wrong message to send, especially when it is such an offense that it has only been given 4 or 5 times. He/She whosoever are granted Hall of Shame status will be required to carry their scarlet HoS. I agree. same here or that +1 stuff others do. j
