  1. I've been quite enjoying the series so far, but I'm not going to try to defend episode 5. That was a train wreck.

If only comics were free. You shouldn't have to sell great comics to get other great comics.
  3. Another lovely book. That's a very odd defect on the bottom edge. The angle of the page bottom seems to change either side of it. (I even put a ruler on my monitor to make sure it wasn't an optical illusion. How sad is that? ) More speculation from me, but I wonder if it's a bite from a faulty printer blade rather than one of Mickey's clan? Also, is there a small stain on the cover directly below the woman's hair and 1cm up from the bottom edge? And on the bc edge around the same spot. Hard to grade this one without knowing how CGC might look on the 'bite', but maybe 6.5 from me.
  4. I grade that at WOW. Without the flaws you pointed out I'd say 7.5 With them I think 6.0 or maybe 6.5 is possible. That stain doesn't wrinkle the paper or show much (if at all) on the other side. I've seen marks like that on old cover stock. They sometimes have no obvious moisture damage at all, and I've even wondered if they are simply uneven bleaching of the stock.
  5. Also a baby boomer, but never met an excel spreadsheet I didn't like! It's very useful to be able to swap between US and Australian currency in value fields by changing one cell, for example. Here's an extract of mine. Columns are comic - grade (with notes about how estimated) - price in AUD but can be shown in USD if required - date of acquisition - source. Wow - looking at the prices I paid for those books at the time, I'm off to work on a time machine...
  6. Since you're in this thread Corey, why don't you clutter it with your $#@&!& impossible to find FFA 6. Then I can covet it all over again.
  7. I've never seen one of these either. If you ever think it needs repatriation to the land of its birth, you know who to PM!
  8. Phantom Lady 17 is here http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=12037
  9. The price is too high, but I have no problem with reproduction comics - just another form of reprint. I own a few and quite enjoy them.
  10. They look so fresh. I think we sometimes forget that even the beautifully preserved Church and Allentown copies have 70-80 years of ageing to take a little of the shine off.
  11. That's very cool. An early attempt at cross promotion!
  12. You get a lot of cool and interesting books Mr. Five.
  13. Is this the same girl? She needs to keep better company.
