I honestly liked portions of the entire phase 4 (although Ms. Marvel was honestly unbearable), but disliked many parts of each movie/series at the same time. The return of Daredevil in She-Hulk episode 8 Ribbit & Rip It was probably the most entertaining for me.

Black Widow, Chang-Chi, Eternals & Ms. Marvel barely left an impression. I am Groot probably did a better job in those few minute segments. They really made the gods look like fools in Thor 4 & although Wakanda Forever was full of wonderful tributes to Chadwick Boseman, I think they made a big mistake by not recasting the character.

No Way Home & Multiverse of Madness were the most significant to me, but I feel Quantumania may live up to my expectations better than most of what Disney has churned out in phase 4. GotG Holiday Special looks like it could be fun though.

    tran·sient

    1.

a person who is staying or working in a place for only a short time.

    2.

a momentary variation in current, voltage, or frequency.

    (shrug)

It’s a more inclusive name & describes them perfectly. They come in to do their superhero shtick & disappear from the public eye. If you want a name that actually defines them, mutants wouldn’t fit, since everyone has small genetic mutations. It’s the X Gene that manifests their powers, which is why they’re called X-Men. I suppose X-Gene, X-Generation or Generation-X would technically define them better.

i'm certain that whenever marvel finally makes an x-men movie, it will absolutely not have the word "Men" in it. i'm not sure how anyone could have watched the last few years of marvel releases and have any doubt about that. i wish i were wrong, but in this case "Mutants" is way, way more likely.

OK, let's get some creative brainstorming here...

    "The X-Mutants..."

    "X-Force Mutants..."

    "Mutant Harder..."

I got nothing. I do like how every reporter still uses "X-Men" to describe updates.

    “X-Marginalized”?

I haven’t been very active on the boards recently, but with Disney catering to today’s woke crowd, maybe the Transients would be a perfect fit?(shrug)

Great trailer...BUTT I don't understand why people would all of a sudden hate him just because they found out he was Spider-man.  It's not like he was a villainous Spider-man.

***Doc Oc looks fantastic...like he never aged.

JJJ/Daily Bugle & Mysterio are making him out to be a menace.(shrug) It certainly can't be the fact that he helped save half the universe.

Dang, so is Tobey not in the movie?  Just the villains?  That's a bummer.

I'm sure they're all in it but this is just a teaser. They'll offer something more concrete in a month or two. Then again, we may only see cameos of many leading towards the Spider-Verse in Spider-Man 4.

You know, I could see how the firing happened when you undermine earlier 'experience' statements how you negotiated theater contracts where they have more control than the studios.

Based on your earlier supposedly informed statement, and using your beloved Deadline box office share figures to determine domestic and international results...

    DOMESTIC BOX OFFICE:

    • $60M Streaming Dollars = $51M Disney revenue (please be careful not to assume this is profits)
    • $51M Domestic Box Office = 55% studio revenue which means $92,727,273 total domestic box office is required

    INTERNATIONAL BOX OFFICE:

    • $60M Streaming Dollars = $51M Disney revenue (again - please be careful not to assume this is profits)
    • $51M International Box Office = 40% studio revenue which means $127,500,000 total international box office is required

    FINAL BOX OFFICE REQUIRED:

    • $220,227,273 worldwide would be necessary to achieve $102M in box office revenue share results combined based on streaming totals

Now if this had also played in China (it may - they love their MCU films), we would have had to account for the traditional International Box Office split between the wider international results (40% revenue) and China (just 25% of studio revenue to Disney).

    • Spider-Man: Far from Home (international box office total) = $741,395,911 of which China comprised $205,442,096 (28% of total results)
    • Avengers: Endgame(international box office total) = $1,939,128,328 of which China comprised $629,100,000 (32% of total results)
    • Captain Marvel (international box office total) = $701,633,133 of which China comprised $154,070,663 (22% of total results)
    • Avengers: Infinity War (international box office total) = $1,369,544,272 of which China comprised $359,543,153 (26% of total results)

So when China factors into the release plan, based on the last four movies, we are looking at an average China contribution of 27% of the total international box office.

But you realized all this with your MBA and former accounting job you were dismissed from - right? :foryou:

    Uhmmmmmm...

Wow, pretty harsh comments on this one.:boo:

I have to admit that BW would have likely made more than $500 million if it was exclusively in theaters, possibly even close to $600. They should adjust contracts with 6-8 weeks exclusively in theaters before making it available on Disney+ & include both revenue streams into the finale box office total. Then make it free to Disney+ subscribers after 3-4 months depending on the film. Considering the end results, streaming simultaneously hasn't helped Disney at all. It's definitely saved a lot of their audience from attending theaters, which I think is considerate considering the pandemic. Imagine DC giving bonuses for Suicide Squad as though it made 1 billion, like they did with WW84!:tonofbricks:
