No movement today on the QC Jim Lee Williams signature

And i got my Jim Lee solo signing books back. The Image United #1 stayed 9.8. The other 2 were raw grades.

Got my final 8 Campbell back. My ASM 601 went down a level but the other 7 stayed 9.8. So overall, with two spawn drops, 30% of my order went down in grade. On to the photos:

Oh i know that... but until they figure out how to grade more accurately or give proper notes for why a 9.6 isnt a 9.8, i feel they should see whats going on. And the frequency it happens is simply too high. So instead of it getitng burried in the other thread, we can show it

Ultimately, i think they need to tighten up the process and require notes that detail exactly why something isnt a higher grade. To me, this feels like the grader just decided on a whim to call it 9.6 today. That superman #75 really pissed me off because the one note i got was well within the limits they decribbed in their book to be a 9.8. Then when it gets pressed its damaged further. I can see the new note about spine stress and can see the spine stress. So yeah it should be a 9.6 now.... before, not so much. Again, it comes down to they dont give eniugh detail on why something went down and it warrants it if the book is coming in as a regrade due to the signing. That previous grade should hold a very high standing with the grader to prove why it has gone down or maintain it. Again, my pressed supes 75 has spine stess caused by cgc that wasnt there on the original or the after grade version that dropped from 9.8 to 9.6. I can see the issues on it after resubmission #2 w/ pressing and they should be called out and would warrant the grader making the overrule and lowering the grade. But i expect full notes on why. And if a grader cant or doesnt want to do that.. it should keep the O.G. grade

"The Certified Collectibles Group's headquarters will be closed on Friday, December 22, and Monday, December 25, 2023 for Christmas. We will be closing at 3 pm ET on Thursday". Looks like even if they did finish QC today, they closed earlier than Fedex arrives ro get there shipments. We waiting till tuesday or so. Perhaps thurs or friday delivery

Yeah i know that feeling... did you get grader notes? I got 1 more campbell shipment of 8 coming tomorrow where ASM 601 went down to 9.6. The other 7 kept the 9.8... so 30% of my campbell order dropped to 9.6.... so far no grader notes on why

Yeah got his 2024 calender in the mail today. My lee williams stayed in QC state today. So i hope tomorrow, but it likely wouldnt get here till tueaday or wednesday due to the holiday

Nope, they have no visible signs of anything a press would fix. Plus last press i did added spine stress.... so im dreading my 2 upcoming pressings on my frenz signings

Ok adding to the list with my two Spawn J. Scott Campbell signings Here is what i sent: And with no notes on why, here is what came back: Not seeing a reason why, corners look good, spine has no stress, no bends.... We really really need notes on this stuff

Typically, we discuss in the main signature thread our results from signing submissions. However, there has been an alarming amount of people submitting 9.8 graded books and recieving 9.6 or lower books back with little to no grader notes to indicate why. To highlight this problem, hopefully get some attention to it within CGC, and to de-clutter the main thread.. lets discuss these results here. Try to have pics of before and after if you can. Share the notes if you can. So to start, ill show Superman #75. Below is the unsigned book submitted Here is what came back: Grader note says "small bend left top of back cover". So to make things worse, i sent back to press the commented light bend to back left corner, and recieved back spine stress that was not present before You can see the stress on the back best near the '!' And you can compare to the og signing and note its not there. What examples do you all have?

Yeah. Glad to get back 606 and 607 signed 9.8 to have with these... but these stay in the collection due to the label and the grade.

Ouch. I only have a green and yellow. No retorations.... dynamic forces frank miller signed with coa. Add a mcfarlane full name sig. hopen to maybe send this in and get the full name sig and keep the 9.8

Yeah my asm 601 is tough to get in pregraded 9.8. You are likely right, at the time i just wanted my set to keep the retired label. Glad i still have a set of those campbell with nyc spidey logo.

Was a sale coupon code from top of their screen, aka one they gave anyone willing to type it in at check out. No dividers. The side pads hold even a single book up fine, they basically have ribbing for cgc or cbcs casing. They go on backorder a lot though. Think they are into q2 next year for delivery now. I need like 3 more. They sell half size and single book versions.

Beginning to think your best bet on signings is sending 9.8 recently graded books in. That 601 was an older grade, but those spidergwen were in the og style cases.... so i dont know

My lee williams xmen#1 (previously signed by claremont) i still in GEI.... but my Lee only 3 books just shipped. My Image United #1 Lee variant stayed 9.8. The other 2 raw grades were on the foil convention editions of Batman #608.... Was hoping 9.8 and thought 9.6 on one... BOTH 9.8.... im stunned

PC. Luckily i had 2 copies of asm 601 at cgc 9.8. Just sent in 1 for signing. Ill probably stick with it

Well... all remained 9.8 except the most valuable one. Asm 601 went from 9.8 to 9.6.
