  1. This is going to end up like infinite regression, and it's making my brain hurt. Keys on top of keys on top of keys.
  2. I've always liked the character, actually. Just in small doses, rather than overkill. I have a nice 9.0 slab of ASM 129.
  3. I was a bit disappointed when I got around to reading it. The first issue with the jailbreak is good, then it’s quite mediocre after that.
  4. It’s now widely known that there’s no point to running away from or attempting defensive fighting against a bear, but the level of surrender illustrated here is just pitiful. Or, artistically inept.
  5. Personal taste. A lot of people do admire the character, and that can outweigh your own, more neutral opinion. For instance, to me, Wolverine is a good character, but I’m not particularly excited by his involvement in a story, and don’t care that much about his first appearance. Many are much, much more excitable in that respect, and the rabid speculation is significantly additive to the runaway prices for both characters. Your response may be quite cold, but it’s always mindful to appreciate that a majority may think, be motivated, and value quite differently.
  6. One of my favourites. The artist really succeeds in conveying the desperate, energetic struggle for survival by Tom, as he attempts to free himself from the overpowering strength and aggression of the huge, ursine predator. A classic battle against impossible odds, brilliantly illustrated.
  7. More confusing than ridiculous. Has she been stripped of her powers by Kryptonite or The Parasite? That sort of thing.
  8. Yup. He'd wised up to Barry Allen's infantile tendencies.
  9. Some of DC's writers were much too old to be doing this kind of dialogue. Painful reading.
  10. Not in the case of Heat Wave as his flame-retardant costume is a one-piece design.
  11. Being a non-athletic science nerd, I’m unsure about whether the use of kung fu and shurikens is allowed in a game of basketball.
  12. I'll be honest. At first I thought you meant Frank Miller's Daredevils, which were 12p All-Colour Comics, unstamped, and then I suddenly recalled what you were talking about.
  13. TAP stamps are so nostalgic for many British collectors. Happy memories of mid-70s DCs for me.
  14. Wouldn't be too bad apart from the receding, widow's peak hairline.
  15. I’d considered that one as well, apart from the hair colour difference. Sabre, one of the most well-known 70s graphic novels. More post-apocalyptic than purely martial arts, another reason I didn’t suggest it.
  16. Colleen Wing was the first character I thought of, but Cage doesn't match the Hendrix description.
  17. Yup. In order to emphasise the alien, super genius mind of 'The Doctor' we're going to have her ranting at hypersonic speed, puking incessant verbal diarrhoea which doesn't even amount to good stream of consciousness.
  18. As a show runner he’d want some consistency to the series, and so far he’s been a great success at keeping the material and execution at the same craptastic level for two seasons.
  19. Chibnall didn’t write it, but it was still pants. You were very wise.
  20. New episode. Absolute garbage with a bonus of a lot of heavy-handed ecological preaching.
  21. It's difficult to choose, as I have several possibilities at around the same level in terms of price and significance. Apart, maybe, for one. As a lifelong X-Men fan, the first appearance of the classic Bronze Age team has always been a must-have key, and I've always wanted a really nicely-presenting copy. I lucked into this one at a great pre-speculation price and with a presentation way beyond its slab grade. It definitely felt like a major goal had been achieved, and I had a tremendous sense of closure when I received it.
