Frank Robbins had a default style that was more realistic, and based on Milton Caniff's classic artwork.
Here he was attempting to do Kirby-style forced perspective but going completely tits up with the final result.
The technique requires some mastering, although, of course, Kirby had the advantage of being a prolific genius, and can be forgiven the occasional oversight such as 'Reed Richards' two left hands', as shown in another recent post.
It's a WTF example of an artist unsuited to the super-hero material assigned to him, by Marvel in this case.
