  1. The Crisis box set looks extremely comprehensive, but, a lot of inessential material in there, and you can follow the main story well enough without the crossovers. Too pricey for me.
  2. Aparo, Adams, Starlin, Fleisher. A great compilation.
  3. Yup. It would be a great way to welcome them back. It’s been too long.
  4. Yup. Just like Black Bag, the Faithful Border Bin Liner. Both classics.
  5. It’s not so bad. It’s had a few knocks, but it’s not the worst way it could’ve been battered.
  6. He did draw a few of the Morbius issues of (Adventure Into) Fear, if you're curious.
  7. Frank Robbins had a default style that was more realistic, and based on Milton Caniff's classic artwork. Here he was attempting to do Kirby-style forced perspective but going completely tits up with the final result. The technique requires some mastering, although, of course, Kirby had the advantage of being a prolific genius, and can be forgiven the occasional oversight such as 'Reed Richards' two left hands', as shown in another recent post. It's a WTF example of an artist unsuited to the super-hero material assigned to him, by Marvel in this case.
  8. Possibly the artist who drew Dalgoda in the 80s?
  9. Not one of Neal Adams' best costume designs.
  10. At least the name makes slightly more sense than Taser Face.
  11. I've had problems accessing it from the UK for months now. I prefer GCD.
  12. Only a couple in my vicinity, here in the UK. The novelty seems to have worn off. Then again, it's becoming a fairly rough area, and so there's the safety factor to consider as well, even in the early evening dark.
  13. Again, my previous post is much too nerdy, and I should compensate ... No point dividing this one up into separate panels as the whole page is ridiculous...
  14. I'm surprised you never mentioned the basic problem with the idea of a 'yellow' sun, with our own Sun's output being red to violet wavelengths across the visible spectrum, giving it a white colour overall, as visible from space, and only looking yellow down here because of atmospheric scattering effects.
  15. No. Better and funnier as it is. Can't deprive the thread of Godzilla's basketball skills.
  16. Ridiculous doesn't just mean bad science. The thread's still on topic.
  17. I’d concur. More common sense if travelling that far to have the vacation coincide with a decent convention and have much more choice in one place.
  18. Took a while for this classic scene to appear.
  19. And, just to compensate for going Dr Science there...
