  1. Good point. In my case I tend to fall asleep part way through. Even though it might only be a short ‘power nap’, I question whether it’s worth going to the cinema when I could watch it on disc several times over for the same price, or less, and pay rapt attention to the detail, broken up in smaller sections. And with subtitles, because my hearing’s a bit rubbish too. Age, ADD, bathroom breaks.
  2. Absolutely. Back in the 70s, ECs, as well as Carl Barks Duck comics, were extremely hot books.
  3. None. These message boards are quite enough for me.
  4. Good in the FF, no interest in him as a solo character, unlike Superman. Works best in a team dynamic with contrasting personalities.
  5. There’s his super-intellect and problem solving skills to take into account as well. Although, at times he can also be too focused on his science and be very socially aloof and thoughtless, especially to Sue.
  6. I was waiting for the Zod-killing scene to be posted.
  7. To be fair, though, all he did was respond to the ad for X-Force. And survive.
  8. Never did level up the fork for it to become Skyrim's most powerful weapon. The only fight I suspect it would be useless in would be melee combat against The Ebony Warrior, due to his damage reflection spell. Instant death.
  9. Two clues... - the lettering - Curt Swan Superman
  10. Also, you can’t really describe a super-hero character archetype as lame. A template, upon which so many others were modelled.
  11. A lot of very readable Superman comics out there, especially late 80s onward after John Byrne’s reboot. Hardly what I’d describe as boring.
  12. A Vulgar Display of Power. Avian style.
  13. This short but really nice run hasn't been mentioned yet...
  14. Sounds like the Geoff Johns JSA run, although the Starman issue was by Robinson and Goyer, before he took over. I rate both of the 2000s series very highly. Hawkgirl in the run was Kendra Saunders.
  15. Ordway's fantastic with the more retro characters. Liked his work on All-Star Squadron, JSA in all but name, continued on into the first 10 issues or so of the legacy Infinity Inc book. Agree with everything already said about his Shazam! material later in the 90s.
  16. Now I remember. Solstheim, the Dragonborn DLC. I could find her, but usually dead while on the way back to Raven Rock.
  17. The first one I remember, but it's been a while since I played the game. Easy to forget names and encounters.
  18. Just found the full Star-Lord Band soundtrack from the PS5 GOTG game. Surprisingly good 80s hair metal homage...
  19. Don’t see the point to it, without the feel of a real comic book and the odour of newsprint. An incomplete, sterile, artificial attempt at simulation. And that’s me as a digital reader, but accepting the differences between the two.
  20. If that had been by Stan Lee rather than 'David Thorne', they would've considered that drawing a bargain.
  21. The Legendary Edition on PS3 was really quite stable, considering I played it for 100s of hours, having the 1.9 patch included which made the Sony version comfortably playable at last. There was some serious frame rate slowdown towards the end of that very long period, but only after playing for 1 hour or so, and easily sorted by reloading. In all the time I played it the only two classic Skyrim glitches I experienced were getting torched by an invisible dragon on the ground, and only one, yes, only one, dragon flying backwards in the sky.
  22. Nice to see that Fallout 4 PS4 is getting a free PS5 upgrade, for 4K and higher performance frame rates. XBox too, of course. Looks like I’ll have to start it all over again, and add the DLC this time.
