  1. It would only be much more significant to me if I’d met him in person for it. Otherwise, it’d just be another creator signature for the collection.
  2. I know she's popular and talented. But, her stage name is still rubbish.
  3. Still a full-on performance, but it seemed to work well for a very rough-looking, aggressive Slavic death god, with a big hammer.
  4. He’s a great actor, but in this case, despite who he was portraying, it felt a bit too much for me.
  5. Watched it a few weeks back. Quite good, apart from Peter Stormare’s scenery chewing.
  6. I was lucky in that the Currys’ bundle I got was just a disc version PS 5 plus a controller, which is fine, without having to buy games at full price as well. I did buy a second controller on top, which any gamer knows is a necessity. The basic set-up. There was a bundle with Demon’s Souls PS 5 but charging £60 for it, whereas I got it a month or so ago when Currys had it on sale for £20. Brilliant game, I might add.
  7. I don't have Disney and can't watch the show, and the only thing I've seen online is the twerking scene featuring She-Hulk and the ridiculously-named Megan Thee Stallion. Clearly I'm missing one of Marvel's more highbrow and sophisticated series.
  8. I hope Jimmers is okay. Always nice to see him back here.
  9. True. Referring to accumulating more stuff at present, against the country’s worsening cost of living crisis, not just the extortionate comic sticker prices, where buying a tin of baked beans, and not freezing in a few months time, are more immediate practical considerations than a Hulk 181 for most.
  10. Same as any character’s arch enemy. The protagonist’s most significant opponent. They all have one.. Batman - The Joker The Brown Bottle - Cider Woman
  11. With the currently pitiful value of the pound sterling, that’s a significant hit. There hasn’t ever been a worse time to be a British collector of American comics; stratospheric prices, abysmal exchange rate. Feel relieved I’m not involved with the secondary market anymore.
  12. I draw the line at bad rocket science. Only so far they can push it.
  13. Doctor Fate might be enough of an incentive to entice me back to the cinema to watch a super-hero film for the first time since Endgame. Lifelong one of my favourite characters, and, looks great here.
  14. Interesting the way the costume suddenly becomes figure-hugging, and she looks a lot lighter.
  15. That’s a long read, nearly 400 pages. Good suggestion. Not surprised it took a while.
  16. Only had two channels, BBC 1 and ITV as a very young kid in the late 60s. Still appreciate material from all eras, though, including that newfangled digital stuff at times.
  17. Yup. If someone prefers McFarlane or Liefeld, and if that brings them enjoyment, it’s fine by me.
  18. The Stern / Byrne run is a good read, though very short.
  19. Quality thrash metal, but spoiled sonically by the excessive compression for loudness which was in fashion at time.
  20. Garage Days Re-revisited EP. My first Metallica buy in the late 80s. The shop assistant looked at me absolutely terrified when I bought it. Same reaction when I got Master of Puppets a couple of weeks later.
