Slabbed Weird Mystery Tales have been selling well at auction on eBay, much to my chagrin. 

Are you collecting this JLA run for fun or to flip? Low grade run books are the way to go for reading. Save your extra money for the big ticket books. 

Would an interior flaw be the culprit?

I find it interesting that the first Master of Kung Fu epic collection wasn't up for a vote to be reprinted.

I know HG copies of Weird Mystery Tales are tough to find, but this auction result really surprised me!

5th - Human Target (bronze age)

Wasn't there supposed to be a Hercules Unbound/Atomic Knights omnibus at one point?

The first issue is a 2nd printing.  Issue 5 is worth this price alone due to the Killing Joke reference.

The entire first year of, to me, one of the greatest comic book series ever produced.  Yes it lost quality over the later issues, but the first 30 or so were pure magic.

Why this isn't a series of movies or a REAL tv show by now is beyond me.

Literally 41 years old this year... and still is as fresh as it was when I read it in 1983.

I haven't been reading all the threads about this very closely, but...I tend to think that a portion of slabbers still engage in the CPR game, which generates more money for CGC, so...what's their incentive to design a truly crack-proof slab?

As long as there's still a way to crack the slabs open, the door will always be left open for tampering.  Until they seal the comics in invisible force-field bubbles!

Ian Gibson 1946 – 2023 | 2000 AD

He worked with some of their greatest writers including Alan Moore, John Wagner and Alan Grant.

The Ballad of Halo Jones is an epic story, and his artwork was incredible.
