I know your position is that you wanted the book, but when you realized he was flipping it for profit, you went completely crazy. It's debatable. Marvel Age 97 was indeed released before Darkhawk #1. The question is whether or not a preview/solicitation can be considered a true first appearance. I don't think it can, but it's a cool comic in it's own right. Here's a link to the Malibe Sun #13 Spawn 1st appearance thread. In addition to Malibu Sun, an issue of Previews predating Spawn #1 has also been discussed. It's a very similar situation. The show on Nick? I didn't know it was based on a comic book. Not specifically. However, any superhero themed TV show or movie has to trace it's influence back to comic books. That's why, earlier in the thread, I nominated The Greatest American Hero TV show. Then why not Supah Ninjas? Why not indeed? It should have a specific reference material as a source, no?
