  1. I don't know Jim, but he's been a fixture here on the boards in my entire time here and I hate to hear news like this. I'd like to help out in some small way. Here's an eclectic mix of slabs. All 9.8: M.O.M. Mother of Madness #1 (Written by Emilia Clarke) Sword Master #1 Tandra Wizard Ring: Book 2 #4 Signature Series signed by Frank Kadar SOLD How about $100 for the lot? I'll cover US shipping and split shipping internationally.
  2. More Santolouco goodness. I got this at Granite State 2023. He's already confirmed for the 2024 show.
  3. Cadence Comic Art offered a pretty short notice commission list for the Galaxy Con earlier in the year where Mateus Santolouco would be in attendance and said they'd take some mail-in requests. I wasn't at the show, but I'm partial to metal turtles (various versions of Metalhead, the Donatello robot body from Volume 4, the future Don robot from the 2012 cartoon, etc) so I wanted to get the IDW Metalhead since I believe Santolouco was the one who designed this version and it's a very sleek and unique take...I really like it. As expected, he did a killer job on this. It wasn't completed at the show, but he was able to bring it to the Granite State show where I could pick it up from him in person.
  4. Granted, I've had it back for a little while now, but I think the wait was right around a year. They were backed up on Magazine-sized books for a good long while down there in Sarasota.
  5. Here's one that took a while to come back, but I'm happy to have it. I don't tend to get Last Ronin books graded, but I absolutely LOVE Santolouco's take on the turtles and after seeing his cover to #1, I decided this book would be the Last Ronin representative in my collection. This was made extra easy since all of these guys were at the Granite State show in 2022. Santolouco even added a remarque.
  6. Way too early to tell. I'll definitely be going though. You?
  7. I participated in the sketch opportunity CGC offered earlier this year for Glenn Fabry since he did some very interesting Italian TMNT covers a long time ago.
  8. I'm in with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed Mystery Box I'll warn now that it'll be light on individual issues, but it will have some reading material and at least 2 figures from 2 different toy lines. Plus whatever other odds and ends I can put in there. My first attempt at an AI-generated image.
  9. Historically, Peter keeps to the NE region of the country. I've heard he's never been a fan of flying. All the appearances I've ever personally been aware of since 2009 have all taken place in the NE with the New York Comic Con being as far south as I've ever seen him.
  10. I will say that for anyone planning on attending any of these appearances, plan on a 1-2 book limit. He won't be signing stacks of books for individuals. I'll also say that if there's one item that you're dying to have him sign, bring it to any show you attend with a TMNT presence. His Granite State appearance last year was not announced and I could see that being the norm for him moving forward.
  11. I have a feeling we'll definitely see Peter Laird at some shows in 2024. At this point, I just don't know how many will be announced in advance. If I had to guess, I'd say at least the Portsmouth Mini Con and Granite State, but that's all speculative.
  12. I really like them both. That Laird Splinter is great though. Are you my Secret Santa? If so, I have an idea…
  13. Are those yours? They're great! I really dig that Splinter!
  14. Staining, even light staining, can be a real killer in terms of grade. My guess is that if you cracked it, pressed it, cleaned it, and it goes from an 8.0 to a 9.8...you'd probably break even or gain just a little if you were to ever sell. Anything less than 9.8 would probably be a loss. I think you're right. It's a nice-looking 8.0 and you got a great price on it. May as well enjoy it for what it is. It's a bit divisive, but I enjoy the Volume 4 stories. Mikey's I found especially interesting and I think the covers are pretty great.
  15. This has to be one of the only people from Secret of the Ooze to not get a figure from Neca. It needs to happen!
