  1. Not to take away from Sakai, but Dooney's covers on issues 46 and 47 are incredible and I won't have you besmirching them. I demand satisfaction!
  2. Here's an update to a cast-signed book. This is from the 2012 TMNT Animated Series from Nickelodeon. It has 5 seasons and if nothing else, it's worth a watch. The first 4 seasons are great. The fifth season is more of an anthology season that jumps all over the timeline and was rebranded as "Tales of the TMNT" (not unlike the comic series of the same name). Anyway, here's the book: Kevin Eastman - Co-creator/Ice Cream Kitty Peter Laird - Co creator Ciro Nieli - showrunner (responsible for the overall design of the series) Sean Astin - Raphael Greg Cipes - Michelangelo Rob Paulsen - Donatello Jason Biggs - Leonardo (first 2 seasons) *NEW* Seth Green - Leonardo (last 3 seasons) Hoon Lee - Splinter Kevin Michael Richardson - Shredder Mae Whitman - April O'Neil *NEW* Nolan North - Kraang (all of them) I'd call this one basically done. HOWEVER, I'd crack it for Josh Peck, who played Casey Jones in the show for 59 episodes. Maybe Kelly Hu as well, who played Karai. But those I think are the only real omissions from this book. I'm very happy with it.
  3. This show was not on my radar, but it's in my own backyard. I'll have to come check it out!
  4. I'm pretty excited about this one. I LOVE Futurama. I'm always down to watch an episode. It's been cancelled and brought back on (I believe) 4 separate occasions. So many good characters, so many good jokes. At some point, I wanted to get a good Futurama book done and the end of 2023 presented a nice opportunity to get basically the entire main cast. I don't often interact with voice actors at these shows and was blown away by how friendly they were and so many of them even slipped into their character voices when talking to people. Anyway, here's Futurama-o-rama...which is a trade paperback that collects the first 4 issues of the comic series. It's the only graded copy period. I was shocked since it's over 20 years old...though I suppose TPB's aren't super common slab material. But this cover is just too good! Tress MacNeille - "Jam a *spoon* in it, you " -Mom John DiMaggio - "Shut up baby, I know it" - Bender Maurice Lamarche - "I apologize for nothing" - Hedonismbot Lauren Tom - "Smeesh!" - Amy Billy West - "Shut up and take my money" - Fry Phil Lamarr - "My Manwich!" - Hermes Katey Sagal - Leela I'd consider cracking it for Matt Groening. Otherwise, I'm thrilled with this one.
  5. Big thanks go to @speedcake I was happy to claim his run of Nth Man comics. I've got to say...the Galactus cover has me VERY intrigued. I'm looking forward to reading this. And it came inside a great Midtown Comics carrying case. But that's not all... @speedcake was kind enough to throw in a big stack of extra comics just for funsies. I'm excited because I've never heard of most of these titles. There's definitely a horror theme going on here. I think my strategy will be to stash these away until next October and then I'll break into them to get myself in the Halloween spirit!: @speedcake, You're the man! Thanks for the awesome raffle prize! Very generous!
  6. @Ryan. SHOULD receive his box on Thursday. 🤞
  7. Those are very nice! 9.6 is an excellent grade for this run. They present extremely well and can often be picked up at bargain prices.
  8. It's also on the first page, 3rd post down, under the video. There's a spreadsheet with all the prize assignments.
  9. Just to be clear, I'm totally joking. I'm actually very excited for my pick to arrive because Nth Man sounds like a fun read. And @SpideyFein is my turtle brother-from-another-mother. No one did anything wrong. I'm just having a laugh. Now what else can I shove in here?
  10. I'm having a great time spending my day putting my TMNT mystery box together for @Ryan.. I'm humbled by a #2 prize pick. I've got to do what I can to make it worth it. And OF COURSE I carry no resentment for @SpideyFein for once again getting a higher pick than me and picking (stealing?) the other TMNT mystery box on offer from @Comics4All, causing me to find more and more things to put in the box in some misguided effort to cope with the intense feelings of betrayal and loss. OF COURSE that's not happening.
  11. Pretty stoked my box got the #2 pick! I'll need to see what else I can cram in there for the eternal bridesmaid, @Ryan. I'm going to go out on a limb and pick lot #47 by @speedcake I'm always in for some good reading and I've never read Nth Man. Thanks!
  12. No need to lie. We all know it's going to be barely TMNT-related. Nothing to see here, @SpideyFein and @Ryan.. Move along...
  13. They had these statues on display at NYCC and they looked awesome. This one looks great!
  14. Of course...though keep in mind that Peter has not announced any 2024 appearances officially. Chances are, he won't announce anything in advance. At the Granite show in September, there were whispers that he might show up, but only if he wakes up one day and feels like it. I think he liked the spontaneous nature of the signing and I could see him doing something similar in 2024. In other words, you'll likely need to plan your trip with the understanding that Laird is not a given. Plan on being there for the full length all days and have your book handy just in case he shows up. If you do plan on going to the show, feel free to reach out as we get closer...maybe 1-2 week's notice. While I can't promise that I'll personally be witnessing or facilitating (too far out to tell yet), I will 100% be able to set you up to make sure your book gets/maintains SS status. I'm not the only game in town or anything, but I've been doing this kind of thing for a long time and I'm happy to help out a fellow TMNT fan.
  15. I've got to sing the praises of @Shadow, who was my Secret Santa this year. I asked for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles anything. He got me a best-of Splinter book along with a good mix of other 80's books right in the same vein as the TMNT from the same era, most of which I've never heard of. I'm looking forward to reading them. He also got me a Splinter from the 80's Playmates toyline, which is a real blast from the past. I had one many years ago, but it was played-with so much that it didn't look nearly as good as this one. The weapons are still on the rack...it's practically new! To me, the best thing of all was the card. He put what looks to be a TON of work into the artwork in the card. It looks absolutely terrific and I'll definitely be keeping it in my art portfolios. I'm floored by the talent (and generosity) around here. Thank you so much @Shadow ! You've made this a very Merry Christmas for me.
  16. Fun fact: If you are indeed 2nd to last, you’ll actually get 2 lots this year. We have 2 more lots than participants. So the last person will pick twice and you’ll get the final lot.
  17. You will never not be “dudge sea” to me moving forward. That cracked me up.
