That's more like it!

Adam, that is the nicest copy I have seen of what I consider to be the best of all Hitler covers. Further proof of what a great artist Sultan was.
Would someone please explain to me what the dark-skinned native on the right side of the cover is supposed to be doing, and what it has to do with the rest of the cover?

Charlie Sultan, cover and interior art.

Now would someone please post some more Cheslers.

Tom, we saw your post, but it doesn't answer the question. Can you ask Bob what the cover of the book looks like (as well as any other details he may be willing to provide) so we have an idea? There is no reason to keep this a secret until everyone who knows dies of old age.
-
Keep posting Jon, I love these Cheslers.

The real question is: What is Bob Overstreet referring to when he describes a DA #1 in the Price Guide? Perhaps someone who knows Bob can simply ask him, and we can undertake any necessary additional research from there.

Gorgeous! I love those Starman covers.

Thank you Centaurman

Can we please get back to posting Adventure comics?

The Airboy story and art was much better than I expected. Thanks for posting it Scrooge.

Steve, stop posting, the cover gloss on your books is starting to make me go blind.
Well, you better put a pair of sunglasses on then!
STEVE Got Larson?
I'm not only blind, I'm speechless too.
-
RHG, does this look familiar?
Yes it does. Steve, stop posting, the cover gloss on your books is starting to make me go blind.

My oldest comic. This purchase was out of character for me, but I liked the cover artist Ryan and Fred Guardineer story. I haven't read it in a while, so I had forgotten how much fun these are.
Congrats Adam! I didn't know you had put your toe in the pre-hero pool. Be careful or you will fall in.

What's up w/ the bottom chicken? Why is she so happy to see the pail???
She's not looking at the pail.

It is a different copy. I believe that Dave Alexander was asking $14,000 for a VG/F.
Steve
The DTA book was claimed to be a vf, Guide for vf at the time was around $1,400, and DTA was asking for $14,000.

Thanks Adam. I didn't even know it was the Larson copy until years later when the person who sold it to me mentioned it in passing.
-
Those are gorgeous Jon.
-
My guess is that is the same copy that DTA once tried to sell Ian Levine for 10x Guide (very nice copy btw).
-
it has a few minor flaws (as can be seen along the left edge), but as the Church copy it may be the best around.
STEVE Got Larson? (we know RHG does!)
Interesting Church arrival markings. I'm not sure I've seen that style before on a Church book.

Centaurman, that is a stunning #39, which is one of my favorite covers. What is the background on it? Is it a pedigree? Is it restored? Where did you get it? Inquiring minds want to know.

double action comics #1
in Golden Age Comic Books
Posted
There are at least a couple of copies of Double Action #2 that are well worn and did not come from the same source where the other copies were found. This has caused some people to believe that there might have been limited distribution of the book.
