  2. Well I don’t know about 25 mil haha. But I certainly believe there’s million dollar collections out there waiting to be found. Not sure what the Fantucchio is going to finish at in total sales. I believe c-link amazingly still has books selling from that insane silver collection, been hitting their auctions for like 2 years now, different silver titles every time. It’s certainly somewhere from 5-10 mil though. There are still OO collections out there that have not come to market yet that have the big GA keys. The only question is whether the family members that inherit them sell or continue to hold.
  3. We will see how the numbers go after the midway last week, but so far Edmonton is doing well with case counts. Calgary has seen a surge post Stompede, but hopefully that peaks and subsides before the Expo. I think that holding them in September and start of October should be okay. Last fall it was after Thanksgiving where we saw the spike in cases start if I recall correctly.
  4. Thanks, just booked at the Marriott I would have preferred the Sheralton like in the past but the regular prices were too high. xoxo Greggy has to slum it like the rest of us this year.
  5. And watch for HR Advs 2 to heat up a bit now that a Marchion Ro origin story is in the works.
  6. Based on the past decade or so, TAT's tend to get better through November - February/March due to a lack of submissions at conventions. I am curious to see whether the number of new graders they hire is actually able to make a dent in the backlog of books this year during the slow season. If they add more in-house signings during that time, I do not see how they can make a meaningful dent in TAT's unless they hire 5X (if not more) the number of graders that they currently have. On-site grading submissions at cons + in-house signings + high prices driving more submissions means the backlog is here to stay for a while.
  7. If you bought them in December 2020 you likely outdid the equity market return from 2010-11 as well just like almost every other book. The bulk of the gains have been from March 1 of this year until now across the board.
  8. You may be surprised. If your 94, 95, 96, 100, 101, 107, 109, 120, 121, 129, 130 are 9.4s, and you paid $10-$12 apiece for them, then they all have.
  9. You could say that for almost all Copper and Bronze Books back in 2010-11, including books that are “keys” now but had no market then (MP 15, as a Bronze example). Heck, TMNT was cold back then as well. The smart move was to accumulate multiples of all of them while prices were dirt cheap. I bought as many XMen 94-143 runs as I could lands back then, but they sold consistently for me so I do not have much left now.
  10. Based on his response, Greggy knows which sellers I am talking about.......................
  11. There are a number of sellers that price their raw books at GPA at shows now. I have seen collectors pay full 9.8 GPA prices for raw books that will not hit 9.8 when graded. It is way more common now than you would think.
  12. That is why the Harby #0 was not as easy to track down. However, I was able to find a few at two stores that clipped the coupons to redeem themselves. The owners held them for too long, so I was snagging them with their leftover Harby 1s (with coupons) at 3 for $1 in the 1997-2001 timeframe.
  13. They are, but it is relative to the print runs back then. If I recall correctly from the last time I looked on Greg's old price guide (which was an amazing effort by him to pull together and maintain) they were in the 25K-35K range. Now, it is difficult for a Valiant issue to hit a 10K print run. Basically, those low print pre-unity Rai issues would be a middle of the pack selling book from all publishers today.
  14. It is kind of interesting in how the pre-unity issues are viewed as having low print runs. Those supposed low print runs are 3x or more times higher of what a typical Valiant book does now. I started accumulating them in 1997, and have never found any regular issue as low print/hard to find. Low print back then is a decent to good selling book now.
  15. 12 and 14 have been running for over a year now. You can say the same for the other books you listed as well as 10. Now books like 5,6,7,8,9 are popping. The rest of the early issues and other 1st apps are heating up now as they are still relatively cheap.
