    No, just because the only Canadian team I want to win the Cup is the Oilers. It is that plain and simple. I don't view that as stupidity, just a difference of approaches/opinions. FWIW, I dislike the Canucks, Habs, and Leafs more than the Flames. That is due to interactions with some of their fans growing up (friends' drunk parents who were blind Habs and Leafs fans that had not played high level hockey running their mouths off, especially during the Habs Cup run in 93) and/or as an adult (Vancouver - mind you, the Bertuzzi Moore incident turned me off of the team earlier). I have the same view on the CFL - I always cheer for the East team in the Grey Cup if the Eskimos are not in it. I have plenty of co-workers and friends who are football (soccer) fans that view the Champions League the same way - if their team is not in it then they cheer for the other associations against rivals from their favorite team's league.

    Most Oilers fans are too drunk to golf now since we have been drowning our sorrows since November this season. I can't see the Oilers winning the lottery again this year, unfortunately. At least that is something the organization is practiced at. The karmic payback for the Nuge and Yak weak draft years was paid back with the McDavid heist.

    It looks like the big winner in comic films this year will be....................Josh Brolin. I hope he signed a nice royalty rate for both Thanos and Cable.

    They know that. This year they faced the injuries and down years from too many players - last year was the opposite as they were healthy and had a number of peak/career years at the same time. That being said, the team needs a GM and Coach that can build/coach a team for the current NHL. The MacTavish/Eakins combo was horrible, but I would argue that Chiapet/TMac is even more inept since they missed the playoffs with McDavid. My opinion is likely biased, though, as I did not want either one of them hired in the first place. Chiapet drove the Bruins into no prospect and salary cap hell after winning the Cup, and TMac is not a coach you can win a Cup with - his SJ teams always underachieved (notice that they went to the Cup Finals the season right after he was fired?).

    My rule is simple - the only Canadian team that deserves to win the Cup is the Oilers so I will cheer against all of the others. I was probably the only Oilers fan cheering for Pronger and the Ducks vs. the Sens a decade ago, but c'est la vie!

    Looking at sales numbers now, it is kind of fun to see where the rarer pre-unity issues with print runs in the 20,000 - 30,000 range would fit in todays monthly sales. While that would have been bottom of list back then it would be 100 - 150, or even top 100 in some months, in today's market.

    Agreed. I would not be surprised if they do a Red Goblin mini in short order similar to the treatment that Cosmic Ghost Rider is getting. They need to cash in while the market is hot.

    Hey, it's not my fault if other dealers are willing to pay that. My best one was selling 15 copies of Nowhere Men #1 at $30 apiece at the 2012 or 2013 show. The other dealer offered that price and I was happy to take it. On the flip side, I sold a copy of HOS #92 CGC 6.5 to Harley last year for $800 CDN (I had bought it two weeks earlier for $500 CDN from a local seller). Seemed like a decent price at the time.

    I am just getting into this show (started last week) and just finished S1 E11 last night. It looks like a lower budget WD with vampires instead of walkers (well.....I guess the ferals are essentially walker vamps), but it is still a fun story so far.

    Wow. We are just a couple of weeks away from the show now. Time is going by fast. Hopefully it stops snowing and we finally have spring weather by the end of April.........

    +1 I would hate to see this show focus on the Hobbits. That is the downfall in the LOTR trilogy, IMHO. I would rather see a TV series that focuses on more interesting peoples of Middle Earth.
