  1. Depends on which booth you go to. Or, in our case, whether you are on Karl's/Dave's side of the endcap or mine/Brian's. It will be interesting to see what happens, but ASM #795 2nd print may mean nothing by the show......... As far as the Ross #798, are you referring to regular or 1:100 virgin cover variant? I can't see the 1:100 being only $20 anywhere.........
  2. It's not my fault that joeypost is easier to deal with than you so he gets all the good stuff first...........
  3. Definitely, but enough to double the print run to 100K, let alone 120K - 140K? I can't see that.
  4. Everything was selling. That's what happens when Brian and I aren't there with the good stuff. People have to settle for your books or nothing at all..........
  5. I am not so sure. I think they will do something big in 800 that will be fun - hopefully the intro of a new character?
  6. Looking at the numbers for recent issues at around 55,000 copies, I think that may be high.
  7. I wonder what the print run will end up being on this issue since Marvel only confirmed it a couple of hours before FOC? Based on recent numbers, ASM is selling at levels not that far off from the 1997 - 2001 lows..........
  8. Wow. When the bubble bursts on these books there will be a lot of unhappy new speculators/collectors exiting with big losses.
  9. And he looked 70 doing the first one........... Vin Diesel is an okay name for Valiant, but unless they plan on killing him off at the end of this one I don't understand why they did not go with a younger actor in/entering their prime.
  10. Who are the X-Men in the orange jumpsuits and why are they on garbage detail?
  11. Why are you polluting this thread with drek? And, the Flash is still a wanker.
  12. It will be interesting to see what happens with prices on 795 - it will all depend on whether Norman ends up as Red Goblin or not, I guess.
  13. I just heard from a source I trust that the 1st app of Red Goblin will be in #798. I guess we will see in a month.............
  14. Batman #139 jumped last year after Tec #359 jumped. I think anyone betting on Bats #139 becoming the bigger book is going to get burned as Tec #359 is the better book to buy now and long term. The only thing Batman #139 has going for it is that it is harder to find in higher grades than Tec #359.
  15. It should be the top SA DC key. Flash is a wanker.
  16. Here is a recent new addition thanks to Bob Storms.
  17. While long term it will be a good buy, I would rather pick up the best Hulk 181 or HOS 92 I could find at the same price point.
  18. Wow. A 9.8 HOS #92 is over 2x the cost of a 9.8 IH #181 now. While I can understand the scarcity factor and love Wrightson's artwork, it amazes me at how far this book has run up for featuring a second or third tier character's first appearance.
  19. That's too bad. Having on-site grading might help us pry some of the books loose from the hands of these long-time collectors. Once the grade is set all we would have to do is negotiate on the price.......
  20. CGC should set up for on-site grading at the Calgary Expo. I bet it would draw out some of the hidden GA and SA collections in Alberta/Western Canada that have not seen the light of day for a couple of decades. They would have long line-ups all show long. I know of two collectors that have not graded their big books due to fear of them getting lost in transit. They have some nice stuff that was mostly accumulated during the 80s and early 90s.
  21. Here is a current group of some Batvillain SA 1st Apps. I have a high grade copy of Lois Lane #70 in for grading now to complete the set. Right now my current LL 70 is in another company's plastic.
  22. I hope that it is Ned. We need Hobgoblin back to drive up prices on ASM #238.
  23. Ugh. Not sure which news release was worse today - Kristen Wiig as Cheetah in WW2 or Vin Diesel as Bloodshot. Hopefully Vin has one more good action movie left in him.
  24. Ugh. While I will give Jenkins the benefit of the doubt due to the casting of Gal Gadot, I will go into the theatre with lowered expectations for Wiig in this role.
