  13. I need to raise some cash in the near term to cover some unexpected landscaping that my wife has planned. As a result, I will be posting a bunch of nice Copper and Modern keys and hot artist books over the next few days. As usual, trumps PMs I have not responded to. Shipping Policy: Shipping for slabbed comics starts at $20 in a small box with tracking and insurance in Canada and the continental USA. Overseas shipping will be charged at the postal rate. Note: Assume that all slabbed books have been pressed. Some I have done myself, others that I bought slabbed are likely pressed as well. Return Policy: Within 14 days of receipt for raw books. No return on slabbed books.
  14. That is it for the books in this thread. I will be closing it tomorrow night and moving some of them to other venues. I am open to offers on any of the remaining books.
  15. Agreed. I put this movie up there with the first GotG, and first Avengers as my favorite Marvel films to date.
  16. I agree that this is a great movie and will top $2B, as stated in my previous posts. I am just reporting what I am hearing from the people at work and other friends that are not comic fans. I personally thought it was an awesome film.
  17. Interesting. The Heritage CGC 6.0 with a bad wrap/miscut cover, staining, chipping, and it looks like originally Cream to Light Tan pages from the description (changed to CR-OW in the new slab holder) sold for $8365. This is on the heels of a CGC 6.5 sale at $11,008 in March. Coupled with the $215K final price on the JLA #1 CGC 9.6, it looks like the post-movie tanking may be done on this book.
  18. Here are the last couple of books I am going to add to this FS thread. Batman #227 CGC 8.5 - $700 SOLD Classic Neal Adams cover!
  19. Looks like JLA prices have started to recover from the post-movie tanking. The CGC 6.0 Cream to Off-White (listed as Light Tan in the auction description - I guess it was resubbed for page quality jump?) pages copy of B&B #28 sold for $8365, which is higher than I expected given the stain on the back cover, staple tears, and horrible centering.
  20. Here's my entry to the club. I am looking to upgrade before prices get too crazy.
  21. True, but at that point it is usually just pennies on the dollar as the owners have cut a deal to "sell" the assets into a new company/new owner where the owner(s)/key persons mysteriously end up working at doing the same thing. It happens in the oil patch and construction industry all the time.
  22. I am not sure, but I think they would ask for all employees to be terminated as part of the asset purchase. It is fairly standard. No need to get involved in severance payments and the headaches of terminating employees if you are the acquirer. Buying the assets means creditors are left fighting it out over the scraps left behind in the company, which is likely only loans/accounts payable/other debts at this point.
