  1. Winner! Bad time to get busted checking out a Harley Quinn!
  2. First media PR is up for the show: http://edmontonjournal.com/entertainment/festivals/edmonton-expo-2017-rock-and-roleplaying-amid-endless-merch Let's play a little game.............name the boardie with the creepy stalker look, just off to the right of Harley in the grey shirt, in the first picture from the article.
  3. What are the print runs of the top Valiant books vs. the top Image books? Not too long ago I recall all of the valiant titles being sub-10,000 in monthly sales. That is not enough to keep a company going long term.
  4. Don't you mean All New Legacy Now Really Right Now Again Marvel Now?
  5. Cool. I really hope they spend some time developing the characters' origins/back stories more in the TV show. The Comedian's would be a fun one.
  6. Nice to be the outlier on the right side of a transaction!
  7. Well......thanks to change in shooting schedule the Riverdale girls are no longer coming to the show.
  8. No. There are a couple of other dealers that do shows here and will behave like this. They always ask for a good deal, I give them a discounted price and if they say no we are done. Then there are the guys that sell online and try to wheel and deal on specific books with all the dealers that have the issue(s) they are looking for.
  9. The most fun is with the odd dealer (I won't mention names) that goes from booth to booth looking for a specific book, asks for your best price, and then makes the rounds trying to haggle a couple of times at each table that has it. In those cases, I just pull the book and say it sold. If they ask for what price, I tell them a price lower than what they were offering me for it. Most dealers are good to deal with and I expect them to mark the price up even after I give a bit of a discount. If I am happy with the price then I hope they make some $$$ on it and come back to buy more during the show.
  10. Yeah, it is nice to see these $1 bin books start selling for decent $$$ now.
  11. http://www.cbr.com/report-marvel-studios-power-pack-feature-film/ Sweet! Time to pull Power Pack #1 from the dollar boxes. Now all we need is an Alpha Flight movie to be announced so I can move that stack of #1s accumulated from buying collections over the years as well.
  12. Book looks over graded for a 6.5. I'm sure that's reflected in the price. -J. Definitely. It looks like a 3.5/4.0 copy in a 6.5 label.
  13. The easiest way to make him a beacon of light....................Mullet Supes in the next movie!
  14. The digests are fun to find in HG. I used to have HG multiples of all of the CDN digests thanks to a couple is stashes that Ron/Leading Comics had in Edmonton way back when.
  15. I really hope that they tease Darkseid and Kalibak at the end.
  16. Keep your eyes open for raw copies to submit. There are a ton of HG copies still out there - I have seen people that still have small stacks of newsstand and direct edition copies here in Edmonton from speculation back in the day. The Simonson run was a hot item back then.
  17. Leifeld drew the feet too small on his signature.
  18. So.....if I had kept my other copy I would have 2/5 of the 9.8 CDNs? I thought there would be more out there in 9.8 shape, but I may be mistaken.........
  19. I agree 100% with the flood of books that noone wants. This is why I just toss most low grade SA books (or mid grade Dell/Gold Key or others) in my $1 boxes. The funny thing is, a lot of them still sit for ages as run collectors have been a dying breed since the early to mid 00s. Just like other collectibles, the A tier keys will across all age groups will hold their value longer term as they are more widely accepted as investment collectibles, not just collectible comic books. For the past decade I have seen the evolution of teenagers that buy moderns, then Copper Keys (e.g. 1st Harley, Venom or Deadpool) and then move back to BA, SA, and even GA keys when they start earning decent wages. It is fun to see these new collectors "grow up" over the years.
  20. Back then there were no trades/collections or digital options to read the books. As I have posted before on the boards, in Alberta there has been a large influx of young collectors over the past decade. These collectors focus on the keys and classic covers, and are willing to pay increasing prices for them. Today there are more than enough multiple print trades and digital sources to cover the need to read storylines. As a result, they buy the trade to read the stories and buy the keys/best covers in the run for their collection.
