  1. I don't know who owns the 7.5 copy but I have the 5.5 Cool cover. You don´t see that book very often
  2. You gotta tell us the grades and PQ....so we'll all know how these nice puppies impact the #22 censuses. This is Palamas undercopy. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3312284&fpart=2 Hey Richard! Yeah, that is my undercopy, that I got from Scott. And the other 7.5 is mine as well I posted it before, but you can´t post it enough Enjoy.
  3. Rick, I have no problem telling the Boards that your 7.5 went for $10,500. And I hope you do not either.
  4. I am so happy right now that I have 2 SC#22 in mid and higher grade
  5. You won't be the only one... That is going to be soooo interesting
  6. That would be interesting to know. I´d like to visit some next month if there are any. Any of you guys know any stores there?
  7. Thanks for letting me know guys. I wonder if he ended it early to sell it to someone off ebay and the other guy is now selling it on CC How can any of the sellers actually make any money of reselling it all the time?
  8. Darn it kimik!! I thought you were referencing a KILLER copy !! Elitist high grade collector! Seriously, though, I am curious to see how high this one goes as it will tell us how robust the market is. If it tops $200, I am going to laugh hard. Does anyone remember what it did sell for on ebay a few days ago?
  9. Thanks for everyone's advice. As I really don't know what I should ask for maybe I'll take jimbo's advice and put it up on ComicLink. My biggest concern is I'll sell the book and 1) someone will resubmit it and it will get a grade of 9/9.2 as CGC is inconsistant in their grading of page quality (IMHO) and even if they don't change the PQ there seems to be have been a change in standards as some LT-OW books get 9.0 or 9.2 now 2) A pressing wizard will acquire the book and it will be optomized and flipped for a lot more than I sold it for. To put your book up on Clink, might really be yout best option. As of your concerns, as discussed in some other thread recently, the LT pq could be improved, by having the comic pressed by a professional, like Matt. By pressing, not only the pq might improve, but also the grade. He can then send the book to cgc and it might even come back a 9.2 or higher. However, the best way not to be angry about someone else resubmitting the book and get a better grade afterwards, is to do it yourself. Send the book to a professional, have it resubmitted to cgc and then list it on a site or even better, put it in an auction on Heritage, Comiclink or CC. Whatever you do, it´s a very beautiful book! Good luck with it (thumbs u Just curious, but how would pressing improve the page quality? The tan pages have to do with their structure, not exactly the "color" cgc is stating. Pages can be cream or white, brittle or off-white. Tan pages on the other hand, have to do with the pages structure however and some times it´s even possible to straighten them by pressing. Can´t remember where exactly 'I read it on the boards, but here´s a link and there might also be some discussion on the Showcase #22 thread. Some boardies make some really good points. Check it out

  12. A very cool series to collect. Congrats! Keep going (thumbs u
  13. Thanks to Rick for the speeeedy service and the opportunity to own this GEM. Anyone wanting to do biz with Rick will have no problema. He's fast, knowledgeable, fair, honest, and ships ultra fast. Enjoy the scans of a 50 year old rare event! Well done!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! Bone white pages!!! Congrats!!! Over five digits??? You cracked that out? I have nothing against people cracking out books but I think I would have a heart attack even considering doing so on a book like that. I'd be too nervous to handle it. Still, well done sir. GASP....... (thumbs u
  14. Me, too. Just click on the on and off going envelopeon the top, or go to "my stuff" and then "my messages". Welcome on the boards
  15. You have me wanting to see this splash. Anybody have it? It's not high grade and you guys are kinky;) With children watching! But watch how happy she looks And the kid with the green balloon is certainly enjoying it
  16. If I remember correctly, the pages were off-white.
  17. WOw beautiful book Palamas! Did you have it for a while now? Thanks DK! It really is a very well centered copy with great colors. Just got it very recently, but I´m planning to keep it for some time
  18. Wow. Is a cgc 7.5 about a $7K book? (more, less, just don't know) If Showcase 22 is such a rare book how does Rick end up with so many great copies? very unlikely, I think. Rick offered someone $12500 for a raw 8.0 and that person didn´t accept. My guess is, that an already graded 7.5 is probably worth quite a bit more than 7k.
