Nice books! I just noticed this...........why were the christmas covers published in Feb-Mar? Same thing with Superman and Action Comics, which were published monthly. Even if they were predated, March doesn´t realy make any sense to me. Why wouldn´t they publish the Christmas covers in the Dec. issues? It's because the publisher wanted longer shelf life for the comics. they were "published" in Dec...that is when these books came out (the cover date is not the date released, but the "pull date" back then) I didn´t know that! So, why doesn´t cgc mention the date the books were published, instead of listing when they were pulled? And........so, Action 1 came out in April, not June?

Thanks...I hope I was not going against you. I've been looking the last year for a descent copy. I just felt the 7.0+ is where it is scarce to find in high grade. No, I was not bidding on it. Have to keep bigger purhcases to a minimum for probably the next month......... (thumbs u C-Link, eh?

That is a looker! And with white pages The Church copy is stunning, but will most likely go for "unreal" money. On the other hand, there are a lot of hg books in that auction and a few hg MH copies with very desireable, cool covers, which might destract from this one

Have you noticed that the colors look totally different, when you compare the pictures?

Most likely it is the the one HA sold on 5-10-06. http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=820&Lot_No=2101&src=pr#Photo Since it has off-white pages...it might just be. It will be interesting to see if it is still the old holder or the new holder. We should be able to find out if this is the new 9.0, the old Heritage copy or the ComicLInk copy with the updated census. Wow, we have the 8.0 Mound copy and the Heritage 9.0 up for sale. At least we know the Heritage sale will be in the GPA data. (thumbs u Photo is up. Same copy as one sold 3 years ago. Hopefully, the seller will make a little profit on it.

If it was, then it just goes to reinforce the notion that even Marvel staffers actually prefer DCs. Whoa Ryan...don't go too far. He just knows what he´s writing about! Marvel staffers secretly prefering DCs is not a big secret. They just know what´s really cool

Got my 7.5 re-graded guys. I'm antsy about the prospective (future) grading fees on this book!! I only paid $85 bucks for the Expresso service! It graded a 7.5 OW/W same as before...thank goodness for that !!!!! Keep in mind that I've got raw scans galore of this puppy inside and out! Well, at least it also had a chance of grading higher and higher page quality. I guess the next revised census will show another 7.5. Thanks for letting all of us know. Yeah, do you have a scan of it? that depends, if he´s sent the old label to cgc or not. Did you?

You really liked First Flight? I think it was kind of boring and less that I expected.

The end is near. Nah, just a breather. This early run up was fueled by long time collectors who grabbed their copies and speculators who stocked up. The big spike in fanboy interest will not hit until late next year when we are closer to the movie. What do you speculate this book would sell next year? 6k? I can´t really imagine a 5.0 ever catching 6k. Although 3 months ago, it even took days to sell 5.0´s for $1100

I´m curious to see how much higher the prices can go
