  1. I wiffed hard on that last book. Did not see the sub crease and graded it way too high. Definitely my worst round.
  2. This past order of 4 books was $45 - U.S. (48 States) Ground Insured (4 to 10 books)
  3. This one completes the 50's for me! Need two from the 60's and 70's already complete. Getting closer. A little more tan than I would have liked but a good lookng copy.
  4. A few c-link wins last week. Wanted to move on a TTA 62 before any other increases due to MCU hype.
  5. Losing too many great artists lately So sad.
  6. Good round for me. Two bulls, off by a grade on two and two grades on the Swampy for a round of 4. I wanted to give ST a 7.0 but with that tear and the FRLC, I just couldn't go higher than a 6.5. Tough book to grade. I waffled last minute on the Astonishing Tales otherwise it would have been three bulls.

  8. *edit* meant to quote @F For Fake I use ComicsPriceGuide.com but am giving collectorz.com a chance this year due to the integration with CovrPrice. CLZ has a relatively easy way to import from CPG so I'm working on that and hope to have it complete soon. I'll probably maintain both for the year and compare. CPG to me is like a more frequently updated overstreet. They seem to have a formula for a majority of the grades that they can apply across series and runs within series. I have seen more consistent updates from them recently. CovrPrice is basing values off recent sales it seems. Whether it is from MCS or eBay of both/more, I don't know for sure. Easy way to update all you books from CovrPrice as often as you want. Below is screenshot of my CPG export to excel. It's set-up with basic sum formulas but it's only a snapshot in time. Good amount of data and detail. CLZ has a way to export to CSV and customize the fields but I really haven't played with it too much I would say that CLZ has the slicker interface and better tools but I've heard of a new "dashboard" being rolled out by CPG. The CLZ/CovrPrice integration has some serious potential but still need more data at this point to become relevant.
  9. Even sending the books to MCS to grade them requires some level of pre-grading. You can't assume that all the books being sent are NM only to find out they are really a F at best...
  10. CAPTAIN MARVEL #9 8.0 $25 CAPTAIN MARVEL #11 8.5 $30 @ 25% off
  11. Good to know I guess that you can have a small corner crease on a 9.2. I would never give a book like that anything over a 9.0.
  12. 1 bullseye, under-graded both the BB and the NM by one grade so not bad. Swing and a miss on the Captain Marvel, didn't see all the other defects other than the stain , will have to give that one another look. I think 7 points for me this round
  13. As the owner of a 12K book collection I can tell you it's a ton of work to grade a collection that size and record the data. It took me years to work my way through it and I am now about 10% of the way though re-bagging/boarding/re-grading everything I purchased prior to 2009 when I made the switch to mylar and acid free backing boards. I'll, at a minimum give the books in mylar a look over to validate the grade given. Some excellent viewpoints in this thread.
