  1. New Releases For 11/30/2022 Detective Comics 2022 Annual #1 (Cover A Evan Cagle), $5.99 only one book this week!
  2. Artificially hyped ratio variants for any modern. Good god, it's the 90's alll over again.
  3. Missing 2, 3 and Annual #1 hoping to land in the 5.5 - 7.0 range for all three. This has been a 45+ year journey so there is no giving up. I've been doing some research, watching auctions and this thread etc... to get a good pulse. Considering putting a up a WTB thread soon.
  4. Facinating to watch the current market and really wondering where to jump in. I'm 3 books removed from a complete run of ASM and took two giant steps back over the past two years due to stupid prices. I know I'll never own uber high grade keys and am completelly okay with that. I focus on the VF - NM range and can still find some good deals. Trying to figure out where the "bottom" is and pull the trigger without breaking GPA records is been an act of patience. I've been able to work on other runs (FF, Hulk, Thor) with good success recently but I'm lucky where I already own most keys in the later silver, bronze and copper.

  7. That will be a heck of a lot better than finding a twenty in a winter coat pocket!
  8. Some really nice books here, they shouldn't last long.
  9. So hard to find 78 & 79 in decent shape. This will be a nice upgrade from the "rag" copy I have right now.
  10. Hall of Comics is my LCS I've known one of the owners (John) since college and he's the guy I reference in my post. I need to visit Bedrock soon, I've picked up some great books from Jack in the past. If you ever venture out Worcester way, That's Entertainment is a great stop with a boatload of back issues.
  11. Based on your location, we've likely bought from similar stores. Do you have a LCS in the area that you use? I remember there was a shop in Framingham near legal seafood that I used to frequent all the time. Of course Bedrock Comics too!
  12. The data is legit from a 12K book collection that I've logged over the years into comics price guide and have imported into CLZ. The events are from memory of course but they correlate to the ebbs and flows of my collecting habits. For instance, I did not collect anything from the end of 1980 - 1984. Any issues that from that era are all backfill over the years and are limited to a handful of key titles (ASM, FF, Hulk etc..). Other timeframes include the core books I collect plus anything else I was buying at the time.
  13. Fascinating (to me anyways) how my collection size and collecting scope is tied to life events. I've been migrating over to collectorz and one of the graphs they provide for statistics is collection size by year. When looking at the spikes and drops of my collecting over the past nearly 50 years, you can plot a direct correlation to life changes and events. Start of collecting High school begins. (Girls, , and a bit too much ) College, the guy upstairs inroduces me to the George Perez run of New Teen Titans and I'm back in! (Aside: he is now the owner of my LCS). I clearly have no self control. Life choice. Pay rent or continue to collect. I picked up a collection of 3 long boxes with a lot of books from 91 - 94 but it included a Hulk 181, ASM 300 and a X-menn 94. Back in and I clearly still have no self-control. Reeling it back in a bit. Career change limits budget. I join the CGC boards. All bets are off Daughter in college. I continued to buy some moderns but about half of my normal, I also purchased no back issues from 2015 - 2019. Covid, lack of publication in 2020 can be tied to the lower number here.
  14. Is this worth going to? Any boardies set-up here? https://necomiccons.com/
  15. New Releases For 11/16/2022 SEP220987 IRON MAN #25 $5.99 SEP221037 SHE-HULK #8 $3.99
  16. Great job @CGC Mike and congrats to the top 3! Looking forward to the next one. Disappointed in my round 4 performance but it was a really great learning experience.
