    While there can be some really interesting stories with these characters, they are better suited for story arcs and mini-series. The flawed character is what we related to, not the ultra powered beings. It would be really cool to have minions though...

    This thread could use some love. Inching closer to a run (including the silver issues) from 102 - 242. Only 25 issues to go plus another 4 to bring it up to 250. A couple pick-ups from a local con earlier this summer.

    WTTB, you can't post anything but CGC for graded books here. See the rules Specifically rule #1 A sale thread must contain books that are CGC-certified or raw only, or items directly related to comics.

    My take was they were sealed by the grandfather at some point and the only safe way to unseal them was by cutting one side. I know all these guys personally and trust they did the right thing when handling the books.

    I went to Boston Fan Expo in 2019 and wasn't impressed. Seems like not much has changed so I'll stick to the smaller local shows.

    My LCS (Hall of Comics) had a local guy stop in with some books that he inherited from his grandfather. I got to see a few of the books at a distance but wish I could have been there for this part. They aren't buying the collection, but may do some CPR and will (have?) submit the books to CGC for him. Some amazing books, the AF 15 seems to be F-/F from what I heard. Not sure what the owner will do with the books but given the quality, I wouldn't' be surprised to see them go to auction.     I've been a Comics Price Guide user for over a decade but have been considering migrating to CollectorZ. They are going to have a tie in to CovrPrice values which has me thinking seriously about the move. Comic Price Guide is okay from a ease of use and adding your collection.

    Been hitting the Byrne run hard over the past few months. Recent pick-up from c-link. Interestingly, I lost an auction for this book in the same grade back in Nov. 2021 but won this one for $50+ less.

    The turtles are home again! Slow track economy 4 books, no other services. Delivered to CGC 7/12/2021 SFG 9/2/21 Returned 8/8/22 Total turnaround time 268 business days. I won't be submitting for quite a long a while for sure. I guess the good news is that books came back at what I had them estimated at. They had some CPR applied so a bit disappointed that I didn't get a grade bump on at least one of them.

    I owe this thread an update. Will dig out my #110 next which is where my OO collection really starts. I think my first purchase was my #105 but I didn't start buying X-men regularly until #110.
