What about Marvel's Greatest Comics? I undertook a similar mission with Spider-man but kept it to the main titles (Amazing, web of, sensational etc...). Drew the line with Marvel tales and settled on 1- 125 for that series. It's still a work in progress but I'm 95% there. Massive undertaking for sure, good luck on your quest!

I've been making some real headway into completing a run from 39 - 108 (I already have a 39 so I picked that as my starting point ) and I have most of the major keys in this run with the exception of 45 and 46. My 49 is a bit of franken-book I think. I have it as a 1.5 but the staples (3) seem to be a replacement and the only reason the cover is attached. Considering pulling the trigger on one of the following: CGC 4.0 #45 #49 would probably target a 4.0 CGC 5.0 - King Size #6 Thoughts on which has he most upside? I watched this for a few months and saw minimal copies up for sale and the price seemed to remain steady. I finally recently pulled the trigger in case she appeared in future movies/shows that would re-kindle prices and interest. Still kicking myself for passing on two copies a few years back that I thought were over priced at the time.

I think the point that @MattTheDuckmakes about a relatively easy and cheap set-up makes this too difficult to worry about. Maybe you'll get a few under the radar but unless you are set up and producing high quality reprints, it will be easy to detect by your average comic reader let alone anyone invested in the hobby. I think anyone here could tell the difference between a legit copy and an Office Depot variant.

Nothing really but you can say that about any book, not just UF4. There have been a number of counterfeit comics over the years, some better than others. I would think it would depend on the sophistication of the copy and the rarity of the book. UF4 is not a rare book so likely not the same as Cerebus 1 or other similar examples.

Another reason to do your homework before jumping on a hot book or any book with higher price tag. Good info to know, thanks.

Circling back to this, I 1000% agree with that statement. If you can't tell by my avatar, that story is really why I'm a collector today. The impact that had on me as a young collector/reader was immense. It truly cemented me to this hobby when I read that arc back in the day. I can see the need to bring Norman back as his arch nemesis to an extent as the Spider-man mythos needs the original Green Goblin around. Thankfully they have never tried to bring Gwen back through magic or any other retcons. I can live with clones and multiverse versions of Spider-Gwens but that is sacred ground IMO.
